No reason to knock this young man. We signed the best players we could as late as it was last season. Maurice will be a valuable player for us next season.

I complain quite a bit, but I won't tonight. They handled their business. Good win, Tigers!

I typically don't make comments about players, but he flat out cost us the UCF game jacking up 3's like he was Kevin Durant. Then he comes out here tonight and plays like he did? Why is he taking up a scholarship? I'd be willing to bet that Penny's kid is better and I've never seen him play.

Yep. He has a lot of upside. He will be an important player for us as Wiseman and Malco figure things out.

If he’s on the floor next season, it won’t be a good thing for Memphis. That’s my true honest opinion. That would have to equate to a lot of misses in recruiting and/or a major injury to Dandridge/ Thomas/ Wiseman. Those 3 should eat all your PF/C mins before Maurice is even a thought.

He will be on the floor next season..and be an improved player, and offer us valuable minutes.

This has nothing to do with with misses in recruiting. It has to do with players can't play 40 mpg effectively and sometimes you have to spread your fouls out.

I expect us to sign one more big and Maurice will still get minutes.

Do you really believe that? Doesn't have any dog in him. He's had a few good games but he's just way too soft. You can teach skills but it's nearly impossible to teach a soft player to play hard.

It's his expectations. He expects things not to work ahead of time.

No biggie....he just needs a delete button for frustration and failures.

I believe Maurice will be very much improved next season..I really do. He is tall and agile and will provide us some important minutes. No reason for fans to knock our players. It's counterproductive.

Hopefully practicing against the new guys next year will help Maurice AND the freshmen coming in. Maurice has been through a full season, and the new guys will bring more for the team.

I am not really knocking him. At least not trying to. He's just severely limited. I would be surprised if he gets much playing time next year. He's a stretch 4 that's not a good shooter or rebounder and can't defend.

Do you just watch games or are you WATCHING games? Cause the first match up it was penny having him shoot 3s to get tacko to come out and gaurd him to clear the paint. Maurice hit a couple so it worked. Penny tried the same game plan AT Ucf but he couldn't hit any so tacko didnt come out as far so he was able to play help defense. So dont act like maurice just decided on his own to jack up 3s.
