Game Week: @Ohio and @Kent State
Been saying for weeks that this is a critical week in the conference season, and, once again, it is true.
I would not be unhappy with a split of two road games before we return home for THREE straight games at the Convo.
Other than 'every game counts in the conference season' the big question is McAdoo's ankle.
Lest I be wrong, he did not play in the 2nd half and spent a lot of time on the stationary bike.
We need his shooting to open things up inside...

Defense may be better with Silver at the top of the zone at 6'5 but not as good on offense still lets see what Silver can do

With Silver it's nice to see we have another guy that can shoot. As he gains experience he should be solid.
Wish this team did a better job moving the ball around the perimeter. They're trying so hard to feed it into the post that they're forcing it.

I believe you mean Ben Braun Court at the Convocation Center.

RE: Game Week: @Ohio and @Kent State
Kent State has a makeup game Thursday w. WMU and then us Saturday.
Kent (6 - 4) is in 4th place, the last slot with a bye to CLE.
We need WMU to pull out an upset of Kent Thursday to close the gap.

Steve, this team has not done a lot to instill confidence. Still sub .500 in the MAC. If they can play consistently they should finish strong. But will they?

I don't know if you guys (e.g., 'Nickle, 'Bovine) are making predictions or just venting.
Someone privately predicted a win last night...

RE: Game Week: @Ohio and @Kent State
Looking ahead:
We'll probably be underdogs @Kent and home to Toledo. Then we should be favored vs. WMU, CMU, @NIU, and BSU (or at least 3 of the 4).
We got to make some money playing WMU, CMU and BSU at home.

Would be nice to go 4-2 down the stretch here. Take care of business at home... 3-3 much more likely though.
Last night was a pleasant surprise. Underwhelming year thus far, but im glad to see they are still playing for Murph.

Last night proved that JT and BT should not be on the floor together. The reasons are many. The guards try too hard to feed the post with both of them in there resulting in TOs and shot clock violations, more space opens up in the paint for PJ to drive, JT and BT tend to play in each other's shadow and fight for the same rebounds...
Use BT off the bench and only play them together when the situation calls for it. Come on Murphy, it's obvious. Don't hold the team back with stubbornness.

I completely agree. We came to this conclusion after the first few weeks of the season.

100%. We need 4 around 1 with JT in the middle -- it'll open JT up to be creative and kick out to more space for outside shooters when the dive down to double.
Also, the announcer mentioned JT not scoring with his back to the basket for like 3 weeks or something? That's terrible coaching considering this is a strength of JT's.

FYI, Kent State plays at WMU tomorrow. The game is a make-up from an earlier cancelation.
So Kent will have to play in Kalamazoo, travel home, and play us all in about 48 hours.

We are so much better on defense when Toure and Thompson are not playing together. Also everyone on the team plays better offensively when the two bigs are not playing together. Other than those minute details, I have no issue with them both starting.
