Catering for private boxes in FXF.

Went to UCF game compliments of Horseshoe Casino and the food was chopped BBQ and hot dogs. The BBQ was chopped so fine I thought it was sloppy joes until I saw the sign. Hot dogs along with 7 beers saved the day.

I don’t like Tops. I only do the cheeseburger. I know some people like it but it’s the only bbq I can’t eat.

I don't like Tops chopped, but order it "pulled brown" and you might change your mind.

Tops is decent but their sauce is godawful.

Only way I eat it, is to-go and put my own sauce on it

I have family who lives in Concord, NC (Charlotte suburb)

Went there a few years ago and they took us to their favorite BBQ joint. They said this is the best BBQ you will ever eat.

The (chopped) pork sandwich was like mush with vinegar on it. Disgusting.

I agree with the Tops sauce, it’s more palatable with something else.

But I had some of the best BBQ ever in Kansas City. As much as I hate to admit it, this place is on par with some of the best in Memphis.

But I had Oklahoma Joe's in KC, which is supposed to be their world class best but it was just ok....equivalent to average in Memphis.

it is especially irritating when they already have Rendezvous in the building.


I think the worst bbq in town is George's in Collierville. not as bas as FedEx Forum boxes but not good at all and very "soft" it was stopped out with an ice cream scoop and kept its form.

ON a side note, the BBQ egg rolls were excellent there.

Tops burgers are incredible

I like Capt Jack's in Collierville...Gtown Commissary in Germantown...Brads BBQ out in Bartlett...there's a little place in West Memphis on my way to Horseshoe Lake called Roadside BBQ that's pretty damn good...it's at Hwy 147 and I-40 behind the gas station.

those are my favorite suburb BBQ spots.

You really have to look hard to find bad BBQ in Memphis. I eat at Tops once a week since I can walk there from work. I like their BBQ but their sauce has a little too much vinegar. Using a coupon it's only about $6 apiece for a sandwich, two sides and a drink.

Fat larrys is good too. Tuesday is burger day when they cook them on the grill outside- $6.50 for burger & fries

I'm not anymore :-) I swore I'd never work for Wally World but when they offered me 18+ an hour to work in their Pharmacy I couldn't say 'no'

In Memphis, that's good money.

Hate to say it since he's such a legend around here, but Jerry Lawlers BBQ place on Beale was a disappointment a few months back. It was overcooked, dried and grisly tough. Maybe I just caught them on a bad night but with Rendezvous and Central just a couple of blocks away, not sure I want to try Lawlers again.
