RE: Middle Tennessee - Game #2
Well, we are in a 1 bid conference. Have been since the other teams including Memphis left.
Somehow Haase was able to win 3 games after an average season (& Ray's decision) to get to the tournament.
Next season he lost very little games but lost in the conference tournament and the team missed the NCAA tourney.

How do you suppose Ehsan can create this world killer team this year (when the Haase leftovers really didn't do anything spectacular for Ehsan either)?

We have lots of new players, etc.

Best we could have hoped for was a top 1 pod finish. That is still in reach.
Slim chance we win the conference tournament.
Slim chance we make any other tournament.

Might as well enjoy the season and the players' progress because I see some being made.

Taking every opportunity to swipe at Ehsan gets old.

Frankly I believe Kennedy would have us on probation in less than 2 years and wouldn't do any better in attendance than Ehsan.

Yeah god forbid we expect to beat a 6 win team once. Ehsan is mediocre

Agree.
This was to be a rebuilding year. We are exceeding expectations. Well realistic expectations for a team that lost four starters and a key bench player this year.

With Lovan, Bryant and Gueye as anchors, the future is bright. All we need are some fans that will go to games, and create positive buzz to get others to the games.

Imagine if we would have shot 35% from the field in the game.

Bright spots - Bryant & Gueye of course, Grayson had some flashes, but Jeremiah Bell is critical for us. When he does well it just helps everything.

Would have been among the best if he had spent 4 years at UAB.

We don't have a clue what to do though when Sullivan and/or Gueye are out of the game. We had to find a way to kill time between 16 minutes left in the 2nd half and 6 minutes left in the 2nd half.

Loss of Butler and Pearson not quite ready yet is a killer.

Probably Lovan would have been the next biggest guy to put out there in that spot.

Ehsan did go zone more though during that time frame tonight but don't expect some to give him credit for thinking.

And that’s when they were hitting threes or going to Scurry who was having a field day on Pearson.

A couple of the calls against Gueye and Sullivan was worst than the call at the end.

Sullivan put himself in foul trouble after getting beat up underneath with no calls and ending up with a technical.

I rarely blame officiating (and usually call out those who do) but tonight the tickey tack calls against our big guys cost the game.

The weakness isn’t necessarily Rob but his bench. Keep Rob Williams for Cheesecake Factory purposes and replace other assistants. Hell, put Murry on the bench as your elder statesman.

The Sullivan tech was a tough one. I don’t blame him (he justifiably went nuts on the refs in the previous game too). That was a 6 point swing that occurred in a matter of seconds.

Ehsan was the strong assistant for Haase. Ehsan doesn't seem to have that strong assistant.

Really Memphis .. up 13 in the 2nd half and lose for the 2nd time in a week to one of the worse teams in D1 .. MTS basically was a 3 man team and could not win the game .. Ehsan is not a very good in game coach .. he seems lost at times as to what to do .. the call at the end was terrible but it should have never came down to the last possession. Guard 55 and 3 just somewhat in the 2nd half and UAB wins ..

Spot on

No, this program is nowhere near where it should be.

Exactly right, Blazer Green. Basketball program is in a sad place.

03-weeping03-weeping Yep, competing for first place in the conference despite in a rebuilding year. Really sad. The conference we are stuck in and is very competitive from top to bottom.

Lost four starters.
Lost the top recruit thru circumstances no one at UAB can be blamed for.
Lost a key player off the bench for the season.
Beat the top team in the conference, North Texas on the road.

Oh the sadness!

Which games have you been to this year? I’m guessing zero. You’re nothing but a troll. I bet you’re not even a member of the Rebounder’s, Ignite, etc. You continually stir the pot and just wait to pounce. I’ll see you at the ODU or Charlotte game.

You guess wrong. But thanks for playing.

And thanks for the personal attack. I choose not to retaliate with the target on my back

Memphis Blazer is correct "They do need fans that will go to games, and create positive buzz to get others to the games". And what does that have to do with Memphis Blazer living in Memphis, which is 256 miles away, and not being able to attend most regular season games? Memphis Blazer has contributed more of his time and effort and gathering of knowledge over the years than anyone in Blazer history including every fan. including you, who has ever paid a MEAGER TWENTY FIVE BUCKS to join Blazer Rebounders and that is not a personal attack towards you, Mr. BOT. I love you as much as much as I love Memphis Blazer. Can I blow you a kiss? I love you, baby!

Five turnovers in 40 minutes. That was AWESOME. 13-20 from the free throw line added up to be a loss by one point.
