Yep, if I'm Hurtado,Bertain, and big Jude I wouldn't return.

People act like Davis only had roster turnover yearly, but we just lost the 2015 class, 2016 class, and a 2014 guy.

And Haase had atleast three transfers if not more.

The first part describes player evaluation mistakes. You recruit to your system, not try to fit them in after you sign them. Finding out they don't fit after they arrive on campus is a little late. Recruiting mistakes happen everywhere. Too many and you end up with deadwood occupying scholarships when you are hurting for depth. Sound familiar?

My point is UAB is no different than other schools. We do ask players to move on, and not just in basketball. There's a right way and a wrong way to do it. One of our other head coaches was in direct conflict with Ingram in '18 over pulling and switching scholarships. Ehsan, on the other hand, seemed to help his guys find a landing spot. I don't know that for sure but it worked out pretty well for the three from last season.

I expect a couple on scholarship, that rarely or never play, will "transfer" after this season. We need the spots.

Yep, happens everywhere. To think that we are somehow above it is laughable. It’s obvious after last year

I would have my doubts about coming back because many of our "fans" think that "The Coach sucks and half these guys shouldn't be on the team".

I would ask Memphis Blazer for a list of guys that turned it on their Junior and or Senior years, after not doing much their first two seasons, but sadly that is not an option.

So if I quit posting can you let it go ?

Just a life-long UAB basketball fan talking about the team. You responded to me first, remember? If you don't want to discuss with somebody, why reply? If you want this place to be peaceful, don't go looking for arguments and bash other fans. Let people have opinions without being so combative. Most everybody has been on here too long and are too old to act like a bunch of screeching Twitter twits. I echo and concur that the juvenile name calling has gone on long enough. I would add to that saying UAB fans suck and all the "Real Fan" stuff. Would people post on here for years and years if they weren't real fans? All that talk does is create a divide that isn't necessary.

Not sure who said it but it was said well: Start with the idea that we're all good Blazer fans here. The discourse will improve greatly.

The players just might the coaching sucks, because they don't play or maybe the coach didn't come through on his recruiting pitch to them just a thought.

Also if those guys want to play, it just might not be here obviously. We just had only 10 available guys this past game and we didnt find minutes for a couple guys and they were there. Couldve been a late season evaluation on Bertain, Hurtado, and Bathurst for the conference tournament. The fact those few don't play shows what Eshan thinks of them.

At this rate we should expect a red shirt caliber guy in this 2019 class Eshan has done it every year, also a transfer or two as it has happened every year. Could also have another winning season with no post season play

I'll use my own memory, there is a god!!!!!! He was good at what he was good at.

After drawing a daily (hourly) pint of blood from the patient, we still have no idea what is killing him, other than possibly anemia.

Im sure MB has a long list of guys that turned it around after unproductive underclass years here. How many mattered in bringing forth success in the postseason or to at least get us there? Robert Brown in over half a decade going back to Aaron Johnson and Cameron Moore

Haase didn’t do shi* with an older team in year one or two, same with E in his first two seasons.

Not true. The same people unhappy with the direction of our program are some of the same people that worked their asses off to help bring football back. We have literally ten times the number of football fans now and that 90% of the UAB fan base is not the enemy. They just don't care about mediocre basketball.

At least the people posting here about basketball still actually care. Better to be bitching and still following the program than completely disengage like the majority of UAB fans.

Yes, us because we refuse to look at the problem for what it is and it starts at the top. Eshan isn't get it done, I like the guy not rooting for him to lose his job but I can say this is the worst period of uab basketball I've seen. It's embarrassing that people see coaching improvement in losses. That's a new one, don't remember hearing anything like that from Anderson, Davis, or even Haase.

We can call what Eshan next step is before he takes it. Still no top four conference finish and that's too low. Even from a recruiting stand point we don't use personnel right. Still very undersized. Can't say I see players improving ect.

When it comes to fandom everybody got there own way of supporting

There’s nothing left to be torn down.

Why is it we count d2 games and exhibition games now? It’s plastered everywhere we went 15-16 in Davis’ last yr except UABs website that says 17-16.

UAB counted morehouse and west Alabama as wins this year. So, really we should be holding the same standards and being recognized at 12-9 rather than 14-9

What's being torn down? I've seen alot of good fans come and go even if I didn't care for their opinions.

Pointless. Just talk to people, Phil. Forget the narratives. Forget the "sides". We're all Blazer fans here pulling for the same team. We can disagree without the aspersions and insinuations.

If you want BlazerTalk to be a more peaceful place, then be peaceful. Simple as that.

Twist it however you want. I chimed in to try and stop the bleeding. Have it your way. The constant dissection and bitching about the state of the program is driving everyone away. And it isn't going to change one damn thing.

But obviously, I don't mean you, because one more daily detailed thread about how we don't have enough depth because we recruited the "Wrong Guys" and "Ehsan Sucks" can't possibly be a detriment.

03-lmfao 03-lmfao

Have a good day.

And the coaching is driving fans away, the other way fans complain.

Don't think most left because of bitching, it could've been the tribal attacks that goes on here. When certain posters post, you can almost que certain posters response time.

Us versus Them. I don't get it. Why does there have to an Other? We all pulled together to bring football back. Respect people even if you don't know them in person or disagree with some stuff they write. Give each other the benefit of the doubt because we're all Blazers.

**Most of the bitching on BlazerTalk is confined to the game threads. Go to some other teams boards that aren't playing up to historical standards and see how many "negative" threads are posted. BlazerTalkers are downright gentlemanly by comparison.
