what kind of #s can we expect from each school in Memphis this year?
what kind of #s can we expect from each school in FW the next few years?
I think Memphis will have 10-12,000 fans for our opening game this year (lower end if its a day game). It will grow with each day if we advance. I can honestly see 2000-4000 in FW next year if we have the team we think we'll have.

Hard to know for WSU with this season. My guess is, 1-2000. That is based on our attendance in St Louis of 6-7000 each year. As this team gets better then expect in FW us to return to the 6-7000 again.
No one besides Cinci and WSU fans showed up to orlando last year and this includes ucf fans. I think you can expect a lot of WSU fans, a moderate amount of Cinci fans and only parents and friends of the team for the rest of the league. Memphis obviously will show up.

2/3rds of this is a true statement.
If you can’t have fun in Memphis, then that is a “you” problem.

I never said which 1/3rd wasn't true. Maybe you internally agree with me then if that's what you went for.

Ok, which part is not true in your opinion?

Same comment applies for Wichita. It's a "you" problem if you can't have fun and find alot to do. There is plenty of activities here. Most of the posts I see about us is people who make comments from there perception of Wichita and not actually been here. When we hosted the NCAA last year they were blown away. All the fans from other schools that were interviewed by the media were surprised at what they forms here. That's why we are hosting both the women's and men's NCAA again. Also we are one of the sites hosting this summer the TBT tournament. Ticket sales here , last I like looked at out way ahead of any other city.
I can't imagine we bring too many folks to Memphis, but if we continue the current trajectory and continue to compete for the conference title over the next several years, Houston will bring good crowds to Fort Worth. Lots of Coogs in DFW, and not a tough drive up 45 from Houston.

Any major city (and yes, in the context of towns in the US, Wichita is a major city) is going to have a good amount to do. People that trash where other people live are usually not very well traveled or stuck in the bubble of where they live. I've been to more cities in this country than I can count, and all of them were perfectly adequate. Is there more variety in places like New York/Chicago/LA etc? Yes. Are places like Cincinnati, Dallas, Wichita, Memphis and the like great cities? Absolutely. There is always plenty to entertain yourself in bigger cities, you just have to actually put in the effort to look. Smaller towns are another story, but that doesn't really apply to anyone here.
I grant you I complained significantly about Hartford when I went there, but that was because of the weather. It was actually a perfectly fine town.

NOT ANYMORE!!! .. bye bye Terre Haute, Cedar Falls, etc etc lol
Memphis has a unique historical and cultural vibe to it that some happen to like. Some like more sanitized, packaged places, some like me don't. To each his/her own.
Aside from the homecourt problem downtown Memphis is a great place for a tournament--everything walkable or on the streetcar lines, hundreds of restaurants and bars, hotels, parks, the river, museums, wonderful architecture, etc. It's made for entertainment.

How bad can Wichita be if both Jack White and Glen Campbell write songs about them?
I've never been. But I have been to Memphis and agree - if you can't have a good time (and eat like a pig while you're there - not just the BBQ but Gus' is a national treasure), there's something wrong with you.
