This is where I really wish we wouldn't go, because I am smart enough to know that if Trump does this (and is successful via the courts) it opens pandora's box for the next lefty that wins the presidency to use it for things like climate change, guns, etc.

I'm not arguing that this doesn't approach "emergency" level because I think it does, but the left will argue "emergency levels" for whatever idiocy they deem.

It puts the "emergency level" in the eye of the beholder, which given where the left is going from a policy perspective - gets scary...........

It would not surprise me at all if Pelosi were pushing for this purposely for exactly the long view reason of making the presidency so strong it can do pretty much whatever it wants.
