Question for Seth; if you could provide your best advice for incoming Seahawk baseball players what would it be?

Also, when he was a player did they ever keep up with the message board and obviously all of our professional tips and opinions?

Keeping with the wrestling theme for Michael: How has he been coping with the passing of Mean Gene?

Question for Alex: Is it possible during your pre-post game live feeds on FB to include a random fan with you? You do an excellent job in both, just wondering if it's a possibility. I recall a few games last year where you had some special guest involved and I enjoyed it. You're also free to tell me to go pound sand.

We shook things up a little bit this week, as Episode 92 starts with a lot of talk on the women's basketball team. Don't worry, we address the men's tough road stretch too.

I'm good with giving the women their dues! Looking forward to listening later today. Thanks Alex.

If anyone has questions, we'll take them. Recording tomorrow morning. And no, unfortunately we don't know how to fix the defense.

1. Possibility Elmore transfers to D1 or drops a level to D2?

2. Any spring baseball updates?

3. Maybe do a “beer of the week” segment (seems a logical spot for potential local advertising)?

Alex, you guys do a fantastic job. Best in the CAA.

But why don't YOU ask more pointed questions of Coach McGrath? What is HE going to do to fix the defense? What does HE think the problem is?

You certainly should not burn bridges with the coaching staff. But these are certainly questions that you are in a better position to ask than we are...

You don't have to burn any bridges if the 'pointed questions' as 70sHawk suggests, are based on fact. How about quoting these defensive stats and asking him where he has seen improvement specifically since October. These rankings are abysmal and not reflective of even a Mid-Major program with the history UNCW has.

UNCW Defensive Stats out 353 D1 Teams

PPG Allowed #346 81.9
3pt Defense #328 37.9 %
Opponents TS% #339 56.8% (True Shooting)
Opponents Turnovers/Game #343 10.5
Steals #316 100

Hope you're all coming back to ILM for homecoming. All the hoops info you need here as well as some beer spots to hit up.

Baahahahaha. Called me out for my selective listening habits.

I’ll be better.

I had to pause a few times, but I got the entire listen in this time. Great work.

Appreciate that fellas. Honestly, I feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day when it comes to defense. Wish there was something different to write about for you guys.

And you gotta listen all the way CG ... haha.

I feel like I just got a D- on my homework. Lol

I did jot down that French toast double brown. Sounds like a good breakfast beer. I mean, uhhh... afternoon beer.

Now that you've gotten through Episode 93, spend some time with former UNCW pitcher Seth Frankoff. The Beat, The Beard and The (Doosan) Bear is out now.

Fantastic listen! For baseball fans it gives a really in depth look at the minor league process and players perspective. Clearly, Seth doesn’t pay much attention to these boards, but best of luck to him again this year in Korea.

Great interview gentlemen!!

2 podcasts ago Michael said something along the lines of if he could blow up the CAA and start over he would.

If you could blow up the CAA and start over, who would be in your league

I understand I'm not the one being interviewed, but I would start with the first year of the CAA name. With the likes of GMU, VCU, ODU, UNCW, W&M, JMU and even ECU. I would add Hofstra, Delaware, Drexel and Charleston. Then one more from a list of Coastal Carolina, UNCG, or Georgia State. May be forgetting one or two more to choose from.
That would make an even twelve.

Excluding FBS Schools to keep it semi realistic:
I would do an old school 9 team round robin league

GMU
VCU
W&M
JMU
Richmond
UNCW
UNCG
CoC
Davidson

How could I forget Richmond? The only school that voted against us joining.
