BTW, the trip was cancelled, at least the Afghanistan portion, when Steve Scalise ® decided to violate security protocol and announce she was going to the press. Watch the Dems cut off his funding at the first possible opportunity. No rallies, no Mar-A-Lago, no nothing. Now he certainly can dust off his plane and fly on his own dime, or fly commercial. LOL.

I think Speaker Pelosi will either just buy a plane ticket to go to Brussels as scheduled, or just not go. She's not walled up in the White House watching her poll numbers fall like a stone. As a matter of fact, Pelosi's approval/disapproval rating is approaching that of Trumps, which is a stunning turn of events for a House Speaker (these are very rarely popular). Wide and increasing majorities are siding with her on the issue.

So she doesn't have to fly 100 hours, which isn't fun, even in a non-commercial plane, to go to Cairo and Afghanistan. Or she can show her virility by just rolling up smooth to Dulles Airport and buying a ticket to Brussels and then let Secret Service figure out how to protect her.

Your lack of basic civics knowledge is frightening. To cut off funding a house budget has to pass the Senate and be signed by the president. Nancy can’t cut a thing on her own.

Who decides what is in that budget? Oh yea, the House.

Because she can? Her husband is the President. Also, she wasn't alone. I'm sure her son and some Secret Service agents were with her. Pretty sure the past Presidents have been flying around the same way during the shutdown.

If the Congressional junket to Afghanistan is as important as the leftists are claiming then I feel sure that they could be accommodated as "space available" on one of the many cargo planes flying to Afghanistan. It might not be as comfortable as the luxury jet they were taking and there will not be the usual Maker's Mark and Grey Goose that Nancy's past CODECs have enjoyed, but if the trip is as important as we are lead to believe that shouldn't matter should it?
