We offered Jonah Antonio

It has been a while since one of these has popped up on VC. Probably because all our slots theoretically are already filled for next season. Makes me wonder about this offer. A lot of schools after him, including Florida. Maybe he was too good to pass up if we could land him.

At South Plains he averaged 12.5 ppg, 4.9 rpg, on only 22 minutes per game. Shot 45% overall, 40.8% from the arc, and 87.5% from the line, so it sounds like he is the real deal.

Florida is he outlier. All the other schools are about like us. But you never know. I posted this last year:

Looks like the hogs just 'stole" Mason Jones from UCA. UCA was his only offer and he apparently had committed to them. So either UCA came within less than a week of signing an SEC caliber player, or the hog are desperate and reaching.

I believe Jones is now starting for the hogs. I bet he could have really helped UCA. Tough break.

Coach on his radio show said he still had one scholarship

Eleven players on roster now, one senior, three already signed. Must be that one of the signees didn't pan out, or one of the current players other than Terrell is non-scholarship.

Apparently the "UCA recruit" scored 30 out the pigs 51 points tonight. Not sure if that is a testament to how good he is, or how bad the team is.

Also, this kid is 6-5, which is nice for a SG.
