So you don't let your "best athlete on the team" get six inches. Instead turn around and hand it off 4 yards back. Lazor needs to go when Marvin goes.

Bump. Not bad I must say. You guys might want to tell Marvin to leave Hue at home this Sunday. If he's coming along as a "special advisor" then it may be best to keep him up in the press box outta sight and outta mind.

You know, I realize the Browns make it easy to dump on 'em but sad that you have to rag on them every year to feel good about your Bengals. 03-nerner

This year the Browns will take at least one game from the mighty Bengals...

Browns fans are so beaten down by failure that this is their idea of "Dreaming Big"! 03-nutkick

True. It doesn't take much after all the year's of suck but there's no better die hard fans IMHO. Seriously, they'll win 5-6 games this year and one will be the Bengals. They make the playoffs next season with Baker at the helm and a stud on the DEE line in Myles Garrett.

Sure they will. Couldn’t beat a bell-less Steelers team that’s in disarray at home with a +5 turnover ratio. In the NFL plus 5 is like getting spotted 20 points.

The Browns WR is a better QB than the Bengals back up QB.

Hello? [echo] Pretty quiet in here. I understand your pain. It's nice to not be on that side of the fence for a change.

To be fair to Bengals Nation, your team is banged up and missing a lot of dudes.

Another potential coach in waiting for the Bengals. Of course just another guy from inside the family who was unsuccessful at another location.

Hey Bearcatmark! Where ya at? [crickets chirping] You still want to rag on the lowly Browns? You glad they're still in the Division as your two auto-wins? They took two from your Bengals this year. How's the basement in the Division feel? LOL!

Sure, the Bengals are terrible. Browns fans are elated with beating the tattered remains of the 2018 Bengals. Browns fans better cherish what minor victories they can drum up this year. Success is a fickle mistress - especially for an ownership that has produced what this one has in recent memory. Did they finally figure out how to win? Or are these just two trash barges passing in the night, and one happens to be loaded with #1 overall draft picks from years of ineptitude?

Thinking more about this, the Browns should be ashamed they only beat the Bengals by 8 and could only hang 26 on a practice squad defense.

Well, 5 of our wins this year are against teams not named the Bengals so there's that. Don't take it personal. I'm messin' with Mark because of the same reasons you are alluding too - he's ragged on beating the LOWLY Browns for two in the win column every year. Not exactly beating a juggernaut either. The point is , you're right, it took decades of ineptitude to finally get the Browns headed in the right direction. You'll have to forgive my giddiness but 7-7-1 hasn't happened often. I really wish no ill will. For the Steelers and Ravens it's a different story - I hate them with a passion.

If not for the stupidity of bringing Hue back to begin the year they may have won the division. They've definitely got something going on up there although given Haslems history hell probably screw it up by hiring another terrible coach.

I think they'd be crazy to not offer the job to Greg Williams. After Hue got the boot, he's taken the Browns to 5-2. The two losses are at home to Kansas City and on the road to the Texans. OC Freddie Kitchens has done wonders with Baker and the two trust one another and feed off of each other. You have to account for that relationship in your coaching search. Jim Haslam can't dick this up because he finally got the right General Manager hired in John Dorsey. He absolutely nailed our last draft class and signed some great free agents. John Dorsey also drafted Patrick Mahomes when he was with the Chiefs FWIW.

As far as Marvin, I think they'll let him make the call just as long as his call is to step down after this season. The Bengals might be interested in bringing Vance back as DC, but I doubt he'd be under consideration for HC. FWIW, I've heard the Bengals have two primary targets to take over: one coaches in an AFC organization while the other coaches for an NFC organization.

Eh, I think the offense is probably closer to a practice squad than the defense. I mean when you lose your top 2 TEs, top 2 WRs, your QB and I'm not sure how many OL, it's at least a stretch to call it the Bengals' 2nd team offense. On the other hand, I honestly couldn't recall having heard of a couple of the names in there on D so I suppose reasonable minds can disagree on which is more decimated at this point.

Truth is, the Browns did us a favor. This game might be the one that finally 100% sealed Marvin's fate with no job saving finishes to make anyone reconsider. Plus it helps us in the draft.

My main take away after watching bits and pieces of the game today is that Mayfield is a horse's a$$.

Not taking it personal - I'm not a Bengals fan. You should be happy that the Browns are competing again - I'm happy for you and Cleveland for sure (it's not Columbus after all).
