I agree.

They are starting to overbuild in Detroit. Renovate all areas near Campus town and a block away you got vacant places and bums. Trying to attract the swank, young hipsters to live and spend their money there.I guess a couple other older, local places have closed per a guy who travels there regularly. Trying to survive in that area on days w/o a sporting event is probably pretty hard.

He also said Chelios was in there the day they retired his number. Handful of people. Detroit sports is falling of the charts. He said tix to a Wings/Canucks game: $6

The new stadium is in strange location. Other side of expressway, away from Ford/Comerica. They opened a few bars near there I guess. And Hockeytown is closer, about 1/2 way between Cheli's and Little Caeser's. They all used to have shuttles (or u could take the People Mover) to Joe Louis, which has nothing around it.
