Hugh Freeze is a complete scumbag.

If we had an opening.......sign me up.

I'll sign you up for a 3-year subscription to NCAA sanctions as a free add-on

No sanctions when he was here previously. It’s a miracle!

RE: Mike Sanford fired
Helton feels like a gamble, but one that could pay off depending on who he brings in as assistants. One of the major problems with Sanford was that he surrounded himself with training wheel coaches in year one (the only experienced assistant was his Dad and he only had experience in losing). Our DC showed some improvements in year two, and our replacement OL coach was solid too, but that was too little too late. Helton needs to surround himself with good assistants if he wants to keep this ship from sinking any further.

in my opinion those that are at the top of the game are not afraid to walk right up to the edge of the line and stay there. Hell even step over it a time or two but mostly willing to stay right at it.

Give me a coach that made mistakes and needing to rebuild their brand. They are still going to get close to the line but probably not step over it. Not unless its very clear they are just a dirty *******.

In sports if you are not willing to take chances and G5 football, especially...you have very little shot at staying around that top 20 to 30 range.

I dont need a boy scout as my coach

Not surprised.

I will leave the sinner up to you, you know the goody two shoe type that wants to save everyone. There's only one person that is going to save you it's not you. That is if you believe in him.

But lets get one thing straight...everyone of us is sinning as much has the $2 whore walking the street. Or Huge Freeze. The difference...you just dont believe you are. Most likely out of the $2 whore and you, there's only one Hypocrite and most likely its not the street walking whore

Its disappointing hire to me after you fired a guy with almost exact same resume and age. I will hope for the best and would think he has to be better than Sanford. I will also feel better if his staff is not a bunch of Indiana St. rejects and Div. III OL coach...

Yes it is and so is the fact I dont tend to judge people in life on mistakes, moral or not....

you make them. I make them. The next person posting on this thread makes them. And everyone after that makes them. I dont think you will find anyone walking this earth that doesn't.

edit: we get you and others like you....any former head coach at Miss or Ole Miss, you hate them. Not for anything they did but just because of where they coached. Now you tell me which person is morally wrong?

The fact that we're all "sinners" wouldn't make it okay for me to actively seek out a nationally known scumbag to coach a bunch of impressionable young men in my athletics program. Think about what that would communicate. Maybe that's the difference between you and I. Sure, you may win by bringing in said coach, but you lose integrity, respect, and honor. That's okay with you. Not me. Do everything in your power to run a clean ship.

I have nothing against Dan Mullen, Houston Nutt, Sylvester Croom, etc.

Hugh Freeze is a degenerate. I don't "hate" him. He's simply a degenerate prick. Call a spade a spade. The dude is a Southern Miss alum lmao

I'm just more surprised by anything that whores in Western Kentucky only charge $2. I think they're leaving a lot of money on the table.

Rumors are the Bryan Ellis is slated to be added as Offensive Coordinator. Ellis was the one who called the bowl game vs Memphis after Brohm took the Purdue job. Helton and Ellis both former OC's under Brohm here at WKU and are teaming up to hopefully bring that high powered offense back.

So the question to TOdd should be why was this combo not utilized two years ago if now we are going back to this.

If that combo is for sure I like it a lot. Yes the question should be why wasn’t this done two years ago but on paper Sanford wasn’t a bad hire (heck Arizona almost took him off our hands last year). You can argue that notes dame got better after him etc (I agree they did), but Sanford wasn’t a terrible hire at first. Then he hired his dad and his buddies and they were terrible.
