UTSA wins a tight race for the attendance title this year. The West easily beat the East overall.

Michigan had the highest attendance in the NCAA with 110,737. The lowest attendance in the NCAA was Ball State with 10,288.



Just for fun this is how UTSA compares to the other G5 conferences.

AAC- UTSA would have finished 9th. UCF has the highest attendance with 43,853

MWC- UTSA would have finished 7th. Boise State has the highest attendance with 34,635

Sun Belt- Troy has the highest attendance in the Sun Belt with 24,527 which means they would have finished 2nd in CUSA.

MAC- Toledo has the highest attendance in the MAC with 21,352 which means they would have finished 6th in CUSA.

UTSA is the only game in town, in the 7th most populous city in America. Even in a bad year, they should draw respectable crowds.

We have the Spurs who have 5 rings & some players who were the best to ever play. You have an hour drive to Texas Longhorn game. By no means is it the only thing going on. The city is made up of a ton of military with no ties to utsa

I had been using ESPN numbers throughout the year but then figured out how to find it from the NCAA website. So for the final week I used whatever the NCAA uses.

UNT I guess traveled well to San Antonio. We had 20k and most of our fans thought we would be at 10k or 13k

I would be interested in knowing what each team averaged for conference games only.

I'll take ours considering who we hosted and when we hosted them. We had no one to really "help" our attendance this year like we did in 2017 (had Alabama A&M, LT, and MTSU early in season) and it was almost purely UAB fans so our core base definitely increased over years past. We had good attendance this year for games played late in the season for once. We should schedule an Alabama A&M or Alabama State every year though

Savannah State - absolute bottom feeder FCS team - 27,124
Tulane - coming off CCU beat down - 21,991
Charlotte - 25,395
UNT - 28,014
UTSA - super cold game plus #1 UA vs #3 LSU playing at same time - 17,605
USM - after they had mostly given up on the season as a fanbase plus super cold game - 25,618

Other than the UNT game we just didn't really host anyone who thought they were playing for anything at the time. I know USM fans were pretty deflated coming into their game with us at 4-4.

UAB averaging 24,158 for conference play is pretty good. We had 22,062 the year before.

Even with 1 endzone tarped (the other now has a EZF) our stadium is 3rd in capacity for CUSA.

The Texas game is at NRG and will be 71k for home attendance purposes.

I’d guess we announce 30k for Baylor and Wake.

I want to say Tech has asked for CUSA to give us an away game the game after Thanksgiving. We are in between quarters and our attendance always sucks that game.

No way FIU had 15k at that game. That stadium was empty as heck. My wife even asked me if they were practicing when I was watching it.
