It’s sad and depressing looking at the UTEP numbers. Hopefully the last two seasons are an exception and not a trend.

UTSA is the only game in town, in the 7th most populous city in America. Even in a bad year, they should draw respectable crowds.

We have the Spurs who have 5 rings & some players who were the best to ever play. You have an hour drive to Texas Longhorn game. By no means is it the only thing going on. The city is made up of a ton of military with no ties to utsa

Not saying there are not other attractions in San Antonio. A city the size of SA certainly has entertainment options. But, UTSA is the only local FBS program, and that is a tremendous advantage that should keep attendance respectable, even during down seasons.

Tulane - coming off CCU beat down - 21,991

USM - after they had mostly given up on the season as a fanbase plus super cold game - 25,618

Other than the UNT game we just didn't really host anyone who thought they were playing for anything at the time. I know USM fans were pretty deflated coming into their game with us at 4-4.

UAB averaging 24,158 for conference play is pretty good. We had 22,062 the year before.

Well done UTSA fans. Now I hope to god Frank Harris stays healthy all year in 2019, and we rack up some wins. We've been waiting for him for 2 years. Hopefully his next 4 will be healthy and make us a very competitive team.
