They lit up the green briefly in the 4th qtr of the game Saturday while in the stands. I thought it might be something they were going to do during the lights out ceremony, but they didn't.

It's really awesome to see how fast Ballard as mobilized and started the demo. I was onsite today and was able to snag a couple bricks from the East side as they were doing the demo. I thought I would let everyone know that it sounds like they are arranging a location not too far from campus where they are going to drop a load of bricks from the stadium for people to go pick some up. It's still unknown when and where, but hopefully some of you close to the program might be able to get some more details.

If someone finds this out please post on this board, I know people in Norfolk who would snag some for me :D

EDIT: I also work in construction and enjoyed seeing the small progress during the season. Seeing the video last night of the excavator tearing down the east shell was bittersweet but it got me excited for the new digs

That would be incredible.
I have a nice little project in my backyard to finish.
Would love to incorporate some bricks.
What a story

The lights on the band's uniforms were for the Grand Illumination Parade in downtown Norfolk Saturday evening. They have done that, the lights on their uniforms, for at least a couple of years. I would guess it is their signature for the parade.

We got ours. I have been told so many folks are coming over to the stadium and asking for them that the workers are being kind and sitting some nice ones over to the edge of the work area for people to pick up. Now that was true last night and during the day today but I have not had any updates this evening. I can tell you I know a LOT of folks (mostly folks who work at ODU) who now have a souvenir brick from good old Foreman Field. Happy hunting!

east or west stands? i know there are two different contractors doing the demo, don't want to run into any issues.

NEW stadium construction
Please let us know.
I am heading that way today.
Would love to grab a couple!!!
Still can’t believe ODU did not think about offering as a item for purchase.
I know a lot of people that would have paid for items out of that stadium.

RE: NEW stadium construction
One of the construction workers gave them to me on the side by Koch Hall. Probably best to go near the back of the stadium by the ROTC building. If they're still there (the construction workers and the bricks), I'm sure they'll be happy to hand them over to you at the fence like they did for me. They did say they were hauling stuff out of there but that's probably this evening unless they break early for Thanksgiving.

Sorry I have been busy and not on here since yesterday. We got ours on the East side next to the Williamsburg Lawn.

OMG there's a camera still of several people waiting at the west gate for bricks. If we keep interrupting these guys, this stadium will never get finished by next season.

This is what I ended up doing. Chatted up two guys at a truck and one went over and hooked me up.

Probably me. We weren't disruptive in any way and waited patiently till acknowledged. But the guy was visibly upset with everyone asking. He was like ugh you guys are like the 100th to ask. Guy with us said expect 500 more at least. He left and I was like I don't k ow if he's going to accommodate us but after 5 min or so he walked back with like 6 and another group showed up and grabbed one of those as well.

We discussed while waiting that once a hour just take a cat and drop a load of them out of the way and tell walk ups to check there or wait. That way nobody is wandering around and in the way and wastes anyone else's time.
