RE: Petrino gone
I’m not sure I believe that Babers is truly on Tyra’s list. Conversely, what would make Babers leave for another ACC school not named Clemson or FSU? Unless he is underpaid but I assume Syracuse would match the salary any other ACC school would offer, except again for maybe the two I mentioned above.

RE: Petrino gone
From what I hear, it's all about Jeff Brohm.
The only other name I have heard is Matt Campbell from Iowa State.
I'd be happy with either of these guys, although I worry about Brohm some.
I like Bill Clark at UAB, and Seth Litrell at North Texas, but I don't get to make these decisions. But I think both of these guys are future coaching stars.

If Bill Synder is retiring, Litrell will wait for that K State job.

Babers wont be leaving SU for Louisville, lol. He may leave for UCLA because thats as close to home at a P5 school as he can get, since he is from San Diego. So I truly worry about UCLA or USC.
Exactly. Babers is a "system" guy and he knows the Dome is perfect for that system. If he moves it will be to a place where recruiting for that system will not be a struggle and there is plenty of warmth, sunshine and a (mostly) dry field. Louisville, as much as I admire what they have accomplished on the field, doesn't check off the boxes in regards to those conditions.
Cheers,
Neil
So I’ve heard this argument before from Syracuse fans and I just don’t buy it. To be clear, I like Babers coaching in Syracuse and hope he stays at that school, but the notion his system wouldn’t work besides in a domed stadium just doesn’t make sense. He coached at Bowling Green State University which is located in Ohio and before that, at he coached at a university located in Illinois. Both of these states are Great Lakes states and receive a fair amount of rain, so how was he able to be successful at these two schools, neither of which has a domed stadium???

Never said the offense wouldn't work if not played in a dome. Obviously we know it does still operate in outdoor stadiums as Baylor is the best example of it. I said the dome is the "perfect" setting for the system, which it is.
Cheers,

He'll have to beat out Brent Venables for that gig. Which ain't happening.
But he has a bright future for sure.

Things already seem to be moving in a positive direction with Jordan & Yeast returning to practice with the team.

No sure what will happen the final two weeks of the season, but the energy I just witnessed at the Louisville football practice today was off the charts. Unreal. Huge props to @vincetyra and @LorenzoLward for getting these guys excited to play again.

Purdue probably would target barbers if they have an opening. Think they pay over $4 million for a coach

Why would he go to a lateral school and play in crappy weather?

I know this ... the Purdue peeps are VERY touchy about losing Jeff Brohm. Holy moly ...
The academic smack talk is cute. But you don't need to know the quadratic equation to crush the quarterback.
As far as Dino goes, I would expect Syracuse is already working on a juicy extension for him and his staff. I also expect Syracuse to be pretty damn tough to play from here on out.

From many sources, I have read that Louisville will pay Dino double, or as high as triple, of what Syracuse is paying him. It is very hard to say no. He would be the top 5 paid football coach comparable to SEC coaches.

I think Dino Babers is worth of the money because
1. He has a good track of records.
2. He knows ACC. Actually he knows ACC Atlantic Division.
3. Most importantly, Louisville needs to make such headline to have a quick turnaround.

Are you a troll or just uninformed?
Show me a link where they are willing to pay him double or triple?
He earns over $2.5M reportedly.

Louisville is still negotiating with Brohm on salary. Stay tuned. Brother Brian turned down WKU offer as head coach.
