RE: Rank the AAC after Week 11
Temple is the team that angers me this year. They beat us...and they lost games early before they figured it out. They are actually better than their record at this point in the season. I think they are a really good team right now but they don't get the credit because they don't have the optics. Frustrating.

Temple fans putting us a 9 in the conference is a joke too. We lost to UCF by one on bad clock managment.

FTFY

Yes, that too. Same with Navy.

Fair and balanced.

Agreed. Temple's non-Villanova losses are all to really good teams, but that one will remain as a head-scratcher. No doubt they should be 7-3 right now but I would still put them at #3 in the league right now.

As is usually the case in this league, no clue how to rank the middle, so I am going to cop out this week and go:

Best 3 teams in the league right now:

1. UCF
2. Cincinnati
3. Temple

Jumbled Mess in the middle (in alphabetic order):

Houston
Memphis
SMU
Tulane
USF

Who cares?

9. Navy
10. Tulsa
11. East Carolina
12. UConn

RE: Rank the AAC after Week 11
1. UCF, still the class of the league
2. UC, big test can the Bearcat D slow down the Knight O? Either way great season
3. Temple, personally reluctant to put them here but have shown resilience in turning season from disaster to contending
4. Houston, two tough weeks still control destiny in the west
5. USF, three game slide
6. SMU, shot in the west and neck and neck with...
7. Tulane, shot in the west
8. Memphis, not the season the Tigers expected
9. Navy, signs of life v UCF?
10. Tulsa, better luck next year
11. ECU, time for a new staff
12. UConn, can only get better, right? Right?

Edit for not being able to count from 1 to 12.

Temple fans putting us a 9 in the conference is a joke too. We lost to UCF by one on a bad call.

You've beaten the 3 worst teams in a 12 team league. Out of conference you've beaten Mercer, South Alabama, and Georgia State.

9th place seems about right.

Guess I'll listen to you instead of SB nation then.

I'm convinced that Temple's sole purpose is to troll the conference by losing OOC games to beatable opponents, and then miraculously figure out how to be successful in conference, thereby hurting perception. They do it in basketball too. They are pros at this. It's uncanny.

Temple has pretty good football and basketball programs, but their wins and losses make absolutely no sense, ever.

In basketball, it's the opposite -- they beat good non-conference teams then tank in AAC play. It really pisses me off.

The nova loss is not only hurting us its biting the rest of the conference in the ass too. Sorry y’all.

No Vick, SMU wins out they are in. Houston needs an SMU LOSS. H to H over Tulane, Houston and Memphis, 5 -0 in division.

It varies by season. The year they won the conference championship in basketball they were mediocre out of conference and did great in conference play. I prefer teams that do well out of conference, but we really do need teams to do well throughout the season and then perform in the post-season.

RE: Rank the AAC after Week 11
1. Temple (Need I say more. They get a double mulligan for Villanova and Buffalo losses even though nobody else would).
2. Cincinnati (could be number 1, but they could be "number 2". Get it?).
3. Navy (Teams that play them are 0-9 the following week. Chop-chop.)
4. SMU (Best 5-5 team in the conference, perhaps the universe. But they're still not the best in Texas, which is substantially bigger than the universe).
5. Houston (Most talent, but they always coog it. ALWAYS!).
6. Tulane (Because they finally beat Memphis, and I like Po-Boys).
7. UCF (Because I don't think they're as good as last year, and I get to type whatever I want.)
8. Tulsa (Just lose the Gazebo. Please).
9. ECU (Better than UConn).
10. USF (Because they're NOT in South Florida).
11. Uconn (This was a tough call, but Memphis just didn't beat them as bad as they did last year.)
12. Memphis (For not living up to the expectation of Temple fans).

Temple has pretty good football and basketball programs, but their wins and losses make absolutely no sense, ever.

In basketball, it's the opposite: the past two seasons, we have won two different preseason tournaments against ranked/eventually ranked teams (FSU and WVU in 2016, Clemson and Auburn in 2017) and proceed to lose to like, ECU and Tulane in conference. Also we always have bad OOC losses (UMass, George Washington, etc.) while always playing the top of the conference (Cincy in particular) close every time. It makes no sense.

At least with this, we can chalk up the first 2 games as the coaches being unprepared and stubborn.
