for sure. They are expected to be a back-to-back NCAA Tournament team. Their squad is full of talented seniors. This is their year to make some serious noise....I fully understand why we are the underdogs here. A close win at their house would make my weekend.

Kaspar Ball off to a good start in San Marvelous tonight. Bobcats win by 10. The Arena, Sans The Wall, looked great. New Jumbotron is Awesome! Good crowd on hand to christen the renovated arena.

81-74 final Grizzlies. We missed whole bunch of free throws during late 2nd half. Amazing that some players can make amazing shots but completely crap out on FT....well that was the first emotionally draining game of this season.

On the bright side, Simonds scored 30 points by himself. If he was little more selfish and didn't pass the ball around, I bet he could've scored 40. The sophomore Williams looks like a solid guard (17pts 5 assist, 6 rebounds) and he is taking advantages of the given playing time while Mitchell is out.

The bad news....Wilson and Nelson showed flashes of their 4 star rating but they made too many mistakes during last two games. Thomas is hot or cold. Benlevi struggles against bigger front court players.

Mitchell didnt play due to a minor injury. Since he is our best pure shooter, his absence didnt help either.

We only lost by 20 points to a Southland School.

Especially when your opponent shoots 60 percent from the field, 55 percent from 3, and nearly 90 percent from the line. They couldn't miss. We meanwhile, missed a healthy number of shots.

74-65 over Northern Iowa is a good win indeed! Almost as important, we had a very good homecoming crowd - lots of students, alums and neighbors. This could get very easy to get used to.

This Troy team is probably the deepest and most talented team we've had yet. They showed up against the A-10 preseason #1 St. Louis, and probably should've beaten them honestly. Troy's D was forcing them to shoot from range... We led the whole game up until the last 5 minutes....

I hate we didn't pull the win out. Would've been big...

Wow...nice showing by the Mavs and Trojans tonight. A win in over Saint Louis would have been sweet! Looking like the conference could have a lot of tough games this year.

I'm shocked. I completely expected a flop. I'm still boycotting the year due to how the coaching change was handled, but when I looked at the starting five, I recognized no one. Completely different team. Despite UNI being fifth in the MVC pre-season poll, they've been a great team and beat us last year. To pull it out like that was totally unexpected.
