Posted from mobile device. Hopefully it's coherent.

Defense wasn't very good either.

They did miss open shots.

That was bad. Outside of 7 minutes of really good offense the rest of the game was blah. Sad to say but this looks to be more of the same.

Maybe.

It's better to find out now than to beat up on UMES, win 25 games, and think we're better than they are.

We'll have other opportunities. We need more players to step up.

I would just play Ezikpe, Reece, and Dickens all season. Give them experience. By the end of the year, we will be better than riding Carver and Robinson.

Definitely. I would take this scheduling and this feeling over how it was done before. Have to give yourself a chance in the OOC

I'll say this, JJs post-game comments were spot on. He saw the game the way most of us did, and was especially unhappy with the defensive execution. It was refreshing to hear some real commentary and honest evaluation of the team's performance, especially after listening to BW's post game comments the last couple months. It gives me hope we will see improvement next time out.

Really? We have been seeing the same stuff, and Jeff has been saying the same stuff for half a decade. He might see the problems, but he ain't been able to figure out how to score consistently in his 20+ year career.

Yeah, but he has a different batch of guys now. The three freshman, X and Godwin seem to be from a different mold than JJs previous guys. And if our D was a good today as it usually is, this would have been a much closer game. And JJ has show he can coach defense. The youth and JJs history of good D make me think theres still hope this game was not a pre-cursor of the whole season. You're right about the scoring though, except that first half was pretty good for the guys.

Seems like Caver and Green are the only one that is thriving in the new offense so far this year, BJ was awful again. He takes so many bad shots because of his inability to creat open looks for himself. He has to improve for us to be any good.

Havent seen box score but Defense seemed much worse than expected. St joes hit some tough shots, but they also had a lot of dribble drives for layups.

Caver is gonna have an increible year but we need better defense and something for BJ to compete.

Any word on Kithcart? A little extra ball handling and perimeter defense was certainly needed tonight.

Kithcart may have been out with a minor injury. I am not sure about that but in the pregame Jones said a couple of guys were banged up and it may change some rotations. He also said we could expect to see Wade because he had been practicing well. He didn't say who was hurting. My gues was Kithcart and Reece may have been banged up.

Thanks, was getting a little irritated. That would be an acceptable explanation.

Caver needs to find the balance between assertive and getting guys shots. Thus far he has not been getting other guys (BJ) involved enough.

But he had 4 stars in high school!!!!!!!

As usual, our homer fans know next to nothing about college basketball.

We are who I thought we are........who we’ve always been under jones.

A team that doesn’t win big games.

Give it up man, it was never going to happen. The schedule isn’t good and the team isn’t that good. The coach isn’t that good either.

We forget other teams have talented kids to. Tonight we played a better coached, more talented team. Another season of getting fat off the bottom feeders in our league and losing all the important ones.

We’ve had one really good team in jones 6 years. And that was pretty much all trey freeman carrying us.

Every other team has been mediocre to slightly above average and win totals and rpi have been inflated by beating up on scrub teams.

We’ve won maybe 2-3 total games against NCAA tourney caliber teams under Jeff jones in 6 years and that actually may be generous.

At some point that’s not a coincidence.
