Can anyone still defend MC?
And why he should continue to keep his job? Listen, he has done some nice things here and I wont pretend that he hasn't. But it's clear what his ceiling is and that he has no intention to make the necessary adjustments to take us to the next level.

Just like the old shoemaker had its run and was the right fit at the time, I think we may want to look at upgrading the coach as well.

It would be a bold move and probably have its detractors, but I think it is time.

Thoughts?

Fully agree. Bohn should have cut him loose after the LV Lap Dance IMO.

I'm done. He did a fantastic job bringing them out of the gutter. But enough is enough. Can't win on a national stage.

He should get this year. This team could be turned around and compete for NCAA. I'm not going to write these guys off after one game.

As for comparisons to SK's senior year, Cumberland is no SK. He doesn't have the consistency at this point.

Real quote

"If we gave up 27 in the second half we win the game,"

Lol you guys can be ridiculous. Look at every basketball team that left the big east. Louisville, Syracuse, Notre Dame in ACC trash. UConn in this conference trash. Cronin’s kept us alive in a middling conference. First game of a young team with our best player out the whole first half. Relax. UC doesn’t have a penny hardaway waiting at the door who’s going to bring in 5 stars. And the one and done is going away soon anyways. Trash his offense all you want because it gets old but he is a very respectable coach.

Mick is the reason I'm not watching any games this year. I looked forward to the OSU and arena opener too much to not follow the score tonight, but I doubt I'll follow much more this season.

Have they played any games so far? Maybe UC should go back to the MVC?

Cronin has a top arena in a town with basketball heritage. He should be making the NCAA nearly every year and should be regularly ranked in the Top 25 most years, and he should be ranked near the top of the conference in recruiting rankings. He should advance past the first weekend once every three years. If he can't achieve this moving forward, he should be replaced. Time to get to work, Mick.

Also, if this board keeps up, Duane Norman may become the most stable person in here.

RE: Can anyone still defend MC?
certainly can't defend his stance that we lost on defense. we score .62 ppp in the first half. you can't win any game like that.

1.02 ppp for osu

.89 pp for uc

game wasn't lost on defense.

Our best player wasn't hurt. He was out because our coach chose to sit him.

He can play with two fouls. He played the entire second half with two fouls.

Correct your grammar and get back to me when you have an original thought on something that doesn't involve FCC.
