Migrants traveling to US sue Trump, government
A dozen migrants traveling by foot from Honduras to the U.S. to seek asylum filed a class-action lawsuit Thursday against President Trump, the Department of Homeland Security and others, claiming a violation of their due process under the Fifth Amendment.
The Fifth Amendment states that, "no person… shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law."

How is it possible for the US to deny the right against self incrimination to someone that is a foreign national currently on Mexican soil that has not even arrived at the US border, has not officially requested asylum, and has not been questioned by US authorities? Seems a bit early to file this one.

Their class action suit was probably funded by the Beto Orourke campaign.

How did a migrant physically in a different country file a case in a US court?
Sure, I get that a lawyer filed it. So how did the migrant hire the lawyer?
So a non-citizen not physically in the US filed a lawsuit against the US for an event that hasn't actually happened yet.

And how did these ‘poor’ migrants even come up with such a ploy?

I thought it was against the rules to file a lawsuit on behalf of someone, i.e. you have to have actual skin in the game in order to play.

Some American NGOs on the ground down there just grabbed 12 people got their names then called the organization in the USA that filed the suit. The Hondurans have no idea someone filed a suit on their behalf.

Rules, you are talking about leftist radical open border types. All they need is a temporary win, like they initially got with the travel ban and with not deporting Haitians and Salvadorians.

Exactly, how could some Inca descendant that probably doesn't even know the laws of HIS land know anything about the US Constitution. Man, these Demons are their namesake, Demonic. They'll stop at nothing and stoop to nothing.

Goal is to avoid tent city processing for 1) catch and release 2) get as many applying for refugee status. BTW refugees get free housing, free food, free medical care, free monthly stipend.

RE: Migrants traveling to US sue Trump, government
These poor migrants trying to walk to the US had time to call a lawyer in the US and file a lawsuit?
