Poor coaching decisions (like going for 2 early in the 4th).

You’re wrong on the two-point conversion and the fact they didn’t score again shows why. If you have a chance to tie you have to take it, no guarantees you score again.

Of all the AAC schools, UCONN has 2nd most PA players on their roster after Temple. Oh, the irony.

How is that ironic? I’m saying PA is a good recruiting state, Connecticut is not.

How does PA being a good recruiting state benefit the AAC when AAC member schools have so few PA players on their rosters? It's ironic because the AAC school (not named Temple), who is "benefiting" most from those PA recruits is also the biggest dumpster fire in the conference.

1. Recruiting grounds for Temple include 1/2 of NJ.
2. We let you have all the scruffs.

So I guess then that UCONN can claim Massachusetts (and maybe New York).

And again... No one in the AAC outside of Temple is benefiting from your PA/NJ recruiting grounds so I'm still not sure how your fertile recruiting grounds are benefiting the conference. Do explain.

It saves people a tank of gas by having to run up to New England for a recruiting trip. And yes, you can have NY and Mass.

That's going to be a fun but embarrassing game to watch, I'll tell you that. 03-lmfao

If we can somehow make it there. Right now, we're a ship coming apart at the seams flying full speed ahead.

It’s really just the first half D. We make fantastic defensive halftime adjustments when we’re getting scored on. Shut out Memphis in the 2nd half and only allowed 6pts tonight...

Just need to come out of the gates stronger on D...

Also notice they ignored the sor stat that they raved about last year to prop up 2 sec teams getting in.

It's 13th. Colley Matrix says UCF is #9 but they're over rated and the magic ESPN index says they aren't good. What garbage. Thankfully if UCF takes care of their business I think things could work out just right.

Hopefully NBC and CBS offer for our top tier tv packages and we can get the off the four letter networks 7th ring of hell.

In fairness I think they said Temple is the best team that UCF has played so far. Which is true. It’s actually a good win for the Knights except we lost our FCS game.

Yup. Temples a solid team. From MW games Ive seen, this Temple team would have a darn good chance of winning the Mountain West.

The Nova game is really the only head scratcher for them, although they should have beat buffalo too.

Cincinnati (7-1)
@UCF (8-0)
@Houston (7-1)
USF (7-1)

Throw on top of that Buffalo (7-1), Boston College (6-2), and Maryland (5-3) and that's one underrated schedule.

And mighty Villanova!

So I went to espn.com to see how the game turned out and here is the story headline:

Milton throws 3 TDs, No. 9 Temple holds off Temple 52-40

Temple was 15 in s&p+ defense heading into that game. That ucf offense is such an unstoppable force.

POLL IMPLICATIONS

One of the knocks on UCF's success is the Knights' strength of schedule. Temple is the only team the defending AAC champions have beaten this season that currently has a winning record. With the Owls entering Thursday night as double-digit underdogs, the Knights will need outside help to move upward.

Are they serious? Forget the blatant error in the headline of the article........this is the best the can come up with with poll implications? Any team outside the top 4 will need help to move upward. Gonna give ESPN a break on this one as the article is an AP article and the person writing it probably doesn't even watch college football.

I hate how they feel the need to trash every school in our conference to try to bring UCF down. I can’t help but think it had some role in Houston somehow not getting ranked.

Temple played a hell of a game and wouldn’t beaten most P5 teams easily last night

Temple is really picking things up, hell of a game. Both defenses were non existent. Temple's slot guy was open ALL GAME LONG. Armstead is a stud.

Did anybody see the trio of signs with Herbie, Finebaum and one other person because I can't remember with our natty champ hats on in the crowd? HILARIOUS.

A few thoughts:

Very impressed with temple - wish they didn't lose those early season games
21 straight
Covered the spread
Defense looked terrible but only gave up 6 points in the second half
We are the game circled on everyone's calendar
Great crowd for a Thursday night game not sure how it looked or sounded on TV but seemed loud in person and about 90-95% full

Announced was just over 41,000. In person it looked closer to 35,000 IMO. The tops of most of the upper bowl sections were sparse to empty, but man did it get loud when we needed it to.

Temple is finally getting some recognition from the voters!

Now, if we could just stop beating ourselves, we might have an outside shot at a playoff spot.

Go Owls!

What is the make up of your team? How many Seniors, Juniors, etc? Because if you guys keep most of this year's squad, you're gonna be damn good with that QB. He's legit.
