Last time a team was ranked in the top 25 in the Sun Belt, they immediately lost on a Thursday night. Last time a team beat a top 25 Sun Belt team, they immediately lost a road game in Louisiana. Sorry to say, but Georgia Southern is doomed. ULM wins this one.

And GS has Troy the week after this game, so it’s a trap game too. I like our odds
Not sure about my fellow GS esteemed colleagues, but after the last 2 seasons, I'm still conditioned to think every game is a trap game. Hard to think like a baker when you've been a cupcake for a few years.

glad that the app game was on a thursday. This will give the guys a couple extra days rest and will allow them to calm back down after celebrating the win. Every team we play from here on our will be bringing their best for a chance to knock us off the top. Hopefully the team comes back down to earth quickly and gets ready for what will be a tough road game.
I predict this will be a tough game for our guys. Yes we do get a few extra days but travelling again (3rd time in 4 games) will be tough, as well as ULM having a bye week to get rested and ready for whatever we can throw at them. ULM always plays us pretty tough.
Throwback vid for you ULM fans when ULM..err..NLU beat Georgia Southern in 1991.
Hoping for a similar crowd, similar helmets, similar uniforms, a similar mid-field logo, but a different outcome

I suspect this will be a good game. ULM has a solid offense, and GS has a very slow starting offense. I think this one could end up as a 1 score game, just hope GS comes out on top.

Our offense has been hit or miss with a lot of mental mistakes. We have gotten pretty good against the run. Like all option attacks, got to play assignments so we shall see if the week off got their heads right. Perhaps Evans will decide to show up this game with a complete game.
This will be a close game. Like most teams we seem to be a much better team at home. coach Lunsford has a big job this week in getting our team to focus and not get big headed after a big win and being on the verge of being ranked. I ll take a 1 point win
