Serious question: Does Georgia Tech even run tackling drills at practice? It's not so much that Virginia Tech is opening up holes, as they are running through limp arms!

They get too beat up cut blocking each other in practice to work on tackling.

As an Auburn fan you should recognize a Ted Roof defense when you see it. We just got rid of Roof at the end of last year.

That doesn't adequately explain what I'm seeing. Twice now two guys have converged on the ball carrier only to have both of them fail to hit him. Roof was lousy, but the guys still made contact, unless of course they were defensive backs and they they were trained to chase open receivers.

Well, so far Bud Foster is up to the stink challenge on defense. PJ looks like he's going to run the QB follow until Bud Foster shows he can stop it. Which hasn't happened yet despite the play being run somewhere along the lines of 9,001 times.

Why do these teams play better on the road than at home? If this game were in Atlanta, the Hokies would be cruising! When's the last time VT or GT beat the other at home?

GT won at home last year. Fun fact if Georgia Tech wins this will be the second time in a row in Blacksburg where they won starting the back up for the first time ever.

That impending targeting call is karma for that horrendous blocking penalty. Qua was nowhere close to beyond 5 yards down field.

Oh yeah. It must be a Fuente thing. That, and Foster isn't getting the players he used to.

That's a wrap.

Also, this speaks VERY poorly on PJ for taking Oliver out against USF when he was carving them up like this as well.

This is definitely a game I didn't see coming... and has no real explanation.

IDK WTF Bud Foster is thinking. Or if he's thinking. Duke overloaded the box and had press man on the corners. They put everyone right at the line. Worked well. VT is doing this 4-3-4 "cloud" where the secondary is almost 8 yds back.

VT has no DBs this year. Man coverage is just not an option.

Old Dominion exposed the Hokie defense by passing, and GT did it by not passing.

The concept behind the lunch pail is no longer even a distant memory. I think Beamer is sitting there wondering how on Earth it sank this low so fast!
