I'll take the win all day long and perfect day for football. But no Sutton smith strip and no win.

Love the victory, but let’s not act like we were dominant. The lights didn’t come on for our offense until the 4th quarter. Maybe we should keep that tempo going for the rest of the season since it worked. Might be the only way to save this coaching staff/Team from self destructing. Maybe we can win the MAC and a bowl game with that recipe. Go Huskies!!!

This garble - He got extended two years so too late for that.
If this is true...I am speechless.

Do you think there will ever come a time when Frazier is embarrassed by our home attendance? So sad today.

There are only 3 Mac teams with winning records. NIU is one of them. What in the world would your complaint level be at if you were fans of one of the 9 other Mac teams????

Pretty disappointing when we can't even draw 15k on homecoming on a beautiful day.

People aren’t complaining. They’re just responding to someone who is implying a regular season win is some “gotcha!” moment that absolves Carey’s lack of success at the end of seasons.

Carey winning the MAC and a bowl game this year, that’s the time to do it. Not for a home game in October where NIU is the favorite.

48 degrees and windy is hardly a “beautiful day”.

I'm going to celebrate every win this season. Each game is going to be tight with this offense. It's a flawed team with a flawed coach but they're winning Thats what we get with NIU football...some good(Smith, Childers running, team attitude), some bad(offensive execution, bad clock management, dumb penalties), but if they can keep winning I can't complain.

This team needs to win a MACC before anyone can gloat. That has a decent chance of happening and gets more likely with each win. Stay tuned.......

Honestly, who would want to pay and travel to watch this offense? Except for the defense, this team is very difficult to watch. Nine points in three full quarters of play against one of the worst defenses in the country.

For the Carey nut-huggers: save the chest thumping until the end of the season. We've been winning games by the skin of our teeth and looking sloppy as all get out doing it. We could easily drop any of our remaining conference games, end up with a .500 record or worse record, no opportunity to play in the MACC, and then get wrecked in some bowl against a crappy team.

It's the opposite of the 2011 team. 2011 team was all offense no defense (until late in the season), this team is all defense no offense.

RE: Regression, the fan base, and who is to "blame"
I’ll defend Rod when it’s warrented. Even when I don’t agree with his decision I’ll find a football basis for it’s defense. But this instance is just so bad he really needs to give the fans a reason. Even the wind was to his advantage. Ohio was punting into the wind and we’d have the wind at our back for a long fg at worst.

These aren’t things to fire a coach for. But he needs to be held accountable because it could cost them a big game if it continues.
