Disappointing 2nd half. Should have put up 60+ on them.

Meh. UCF has an okay offense ... but nothing like the Tar Heels' vaunted unit.

Mediocre 2nd half but we’ll take it.

Hope the starters are already watching SMU tape on sideline

Funny how pro-"power 5" these announcers are.
Every score by UCF they sounded sooooo disappointed.
Then they point out at 42-7 that Pitt just missed some good opportunities on time consuming drives...a whole TWO of them.
Then they said how the penalties REALLY hurt them.
And people will be skeptical of UCF beating a bottom ACC team (one that beat GT earlier).

UCF is legit. Hope the backups score another on Pitt

Anything negative I say about your school will be brushed off as bias or turned into a lame rehashed joke about usf to avoid the topic, but your ooc this season was home to South Carolina st., pitt, and fau. All bad teams and none on the road. You can say you schedule years out but these teams are never good. Sure you lost your @ unc game to weather, but they weren't good either and you then refused to reschedule to get the game back because you didn't want to have a short week ahead of temple.

Ucf won't make the playoff undefeated and they have no valid argument against that selection given they made no attempts to play a difficult schedule.

Only way a g5 deserves a playoff spot is if they do something like Houston did a few years back and put a few big time p5 programs on the schedule

Hey man - Pitt isn’t that bad. They beat Georgia Tech.

On a completely unrelated note, who’s your best OOC win?

Great win for the team. I think the scheduling is great as it is. Schedule 2 P5 teams, one FCS, one G5 school. It is unfortunate that we have had hurricanes and cancelled games the past two seasons. As for the quality of the P5 opponent, for building a program, it is important to get the home and home matchup. For the Orlando guys, if you listen to Marc Daniels radio show he breaks it down perfectly. We should be willing (and are willing) to play anybody as a home and home. We are not willing to do 2 for 1s or 3 for 1s, because we NEED the revenue from our On campus stadium.

It's going to be a problem that gets worse. If I'm an AD at a big P5 program, NO WAY I'm scheduling a USF or UCF game. No upside, all downside.

you're kind of making my point. 17-0 and still no shot at making the playoff. unless we're complacent with having zero chance at the playoff before the season even starts it's time to adjust our scheduling policy

Yeah broski. We sure are a dangerous duo.

DYK combined UCF and USF have won 3 AAC championships?

You aren’t wrong but you realize we could have scheduled UF and FSU a few years ago and thought we had our OOC locked up and gotten to 2018 and had people say meh?

Our fight is that this is one division and if schedules are an issue than the playoff isn’t big enough or the division is too big. Your standards are too low if you are pulling the “Boise Bendover” when the committee says “you did your best here’s a secondary prize.”

Honestly, at this point UCF isn’t even playing for a playoff. We are playing to separate ourselves enough to become a safe expansion choice for a P5 league like Utah and TCU were
