IIRC, Wisconsin went into that CCG with a 7-5 record one year and won it.

MWC members are much better than most of the PAC 12? Most of the PAC 12 losses came at the hands of MWC.

One of the also-ran bowls is one thing...if you’re 12-0...is losing the ccg going to cost you a playoff spot if you’re OSU or PSU?
For as crappy as the Big Ten is this year, is it enough to justify snubbing any team from it if nobody can emerge undefeated?

The only way any undefeated P5 champ doesn't make the playoffs is if there are 4 other undefeated P5 champs/Notre Dame.
But what if Notre Dame, Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson, and Oklahoma all go unbeaten?
There's a decent chance Ohio State would be the odd duck out, given how bad the B1G is.

You can make the case that they won because their defender headhunted the **** out of the Arizona State receiver. It was borderline attempted manslaughter but since it caused him to drop the ball briefly, Arizona State only got 15 yards on the penalty instead of first down inside the 5.
If you target, it should be 15 yards or spot of the foul, whichever is longer.
But then college football also rewards you for committing pass interference on an obvious catch that's longer than 15 yards since the penalty isn't as harmful as allowing the reception.

Ouch! TBH, I think Notre Dame would be left out for only having 12 wins (vs. 13 for the rest).

So how old is questioning ACC football... like 5 years? Quo - who is not even a fan of an ACC team - suggested that Ohio State might be left out instead of either Clemson or Oklahoma, and you immediately attack the ACC? So yeah, I went scoreboard...
P.S. Someone from VT will be stopping by Columbus to collect rent on the Horseshoe...

Why so angry?
Quo, who I don't really care who he/she is a fan of suggested Ohio State would be left out due to the weakness of the conference THIS YEAR. So yeah, replying to that statement I believe my response was very justified to the ACC THIS YEAR. I have no beef with ACC, SEC, BIG 12 or any conference for that matter.
I understand Clemson is 3-0 against Ohio State and I understand VT beat Ohio State in 2014, that's fine! Does it mean I can't, as an Ohio State fan make a comment about ACC football in 2018 without you getting all defensive?
The whole conference pride of people on here is ridiculous! My goodness, I communicate on the BIG forum about weekly games but I don't care that much if other BIG teams win or lose. I sure as hell don't lose sleep over it.
Take care and best of luck the rest of the way. Had fun with VT fans in Columbus in 2014 and enjoyed the atmosphere I seen on tv in 2015 in Blacksburg.

OK, I'll take you at your word - which means I owe you an apology for being overly sensitive. Years of being the brunt of CFB jokes probably made me that way - not an excuse, just an explanation. Anyway, I wish Ohio State well this week and throughout the Big Ten conference schedule.
