Will probably finish 4-2 against CUSA. I would think App State beats USM. I don't know if Texas State can beat UTSA.

You never know but getting ass kicked by crappy Rutgers and not blowing crappy SWAC school isn’t a good sign.
I think App should get the win but who knows how USM responds to losing to ULM. Hopefully they slap them around good.

I do feel for Southern Miss. They got left behind by a lot of the AAC schools, who were replaced with marketz.

But hey, because of those markets, markets, markets, they get to play on the coveted and valuable network: Facebook Live! So jealous...

With all these crappy marketz schools USM and Marshall should be in a position to run that league. They've combined for 3 of the last 7 between them.

SBC vs CUSA
How long before we hear more than one or two fans of CUSA top dogs rumbling about wanting to move to the Sunbelt?
I know we don't *NEED* them but I think most of us would love to have Marshall and USM.

RE: SBC vs CUSA
Watch for CUSA to get a lot of bowl eligible teams this year. Remember, they appear to have 4 confirmed hopeless teams in that league...UTEP, ODU, WKU, and UNCC. Then theres Rice, which doesnt look very good either. Thats a lot of easier wins for the rest of the league. I dont think UAB is as bad as the final score against CCU, but if they are....ouch.
Good news for the Belt....most of our teams appear to be competitive. Bad news...that might mean a lower number of bowl teams.
Basically, we know that every team but USA, ULL, and Texas State is credible this year. And the juries out on USA and ULL. Even Texas State has a somewhat credible to a bowl. Across the street, there are at least five teams that have no season remaining.

I agree and they deserved to go to AAC. They’re a solid program who has been consistently winning. They had a bad 3 years stretch but besides that they’ve done well. Had some big wins in their program and good history.

USM would be good fit geographically. Have a solid baseball program.

Agreed. They have really nice facilities and a great game day atmosphere. Easy drive for us.

TXST will get up for UTSA. What that means, I don’t know, but maybe it means they have a chance.

Dang, you're probably right. That is a formula for a lot of bowl teams in C-USA.

Couldn't disagree more. There's a strong possibility that every team except South and Texas State will have multiple non-conference wins.
If that happens, there will be no fewer than 5 bowl-eligible teams. I highly doubt that the 3 favorites are going to go undefeated against the rest, so that will help too.

I get the feeling App, Troy, and stAte are each going to take an L to one of the other two.

Troy is improving, but we are capable of losing to some teams that aren't APP or ASTATE. The conference is improving.

There are a couple of USM fans that like the idea of being in the Sun Belt instead of CUSA... not because the Sun Belt is necessarily "better", but they like the regional rivalries compared to the geographical barf that is CUSA.
In all honesty, USM would prefer to be in the AAC. That's where most of their old rivals are that they've established a history with. Marshall has more history with the MAC, but they just don't fit that conference, so obviously they'd prefer the AAC also.
