I expected much more, Coach. My 6-6 comment might have been overboard, but you can't tell me that this was a good performance by ANY means notwithstanding the defense.

Is this the worst collective special team performance in the history of the sport? (not a rhetorical question - an honest inquiry if such a thing could be measured because the Herd tonight should be in the running. Special teams have been worse than hot garbage.)

A win, but nothing to be proud of, there are much tougher opponents ahead. This should have been an easy win dominated in both score and statistics neither was the case.

Marshall's defense played spectacularly. 3 INTs, a forced fumble, and a safety. The average length of EKU's scoring drives was 15.7 yards (all contributed to by special team blunders).

I am searching, but I believe we may have made FBS history tonight. Thus far, I'm not finding any other FBS team to have had a blocked field goal, a blocked punt, and three special team turnovers in a single game. (Now, we also recovered a fumble on a kickoff and tackled the holder on a FG attempt before they could get the kick off, but) I am ready to declare Marshall's special teams performance to statistically be the worst performance in FBS history.

Through the "Comedy of Errors" Isaiah Green does Isaiah Green things again, for the 2nd time of his career.

The INT was not his fault either, it bounced off of Brady into an EKU players hands.

Not bad for a RS Freshman who had never taken a snap from under center in college until last week.

A win is a win but my God we sucked at getting the W. First off we will get thumped and I mean 52-10 thumped by USC next week. Mainly due to how bad they got beat today by UGA, they will be out for blood. Special teams......... WOW I have never seen such a horrible performance in my life... so sick about that I don't have anything else to say there. Offense was ok and green looked decent with touchdown passes to Obie and Brady. Defense was decent at times. Our defensive backs need WORK. I'm telling you next week USC wide receivers will have a field day with our backs. Right now we are not a legit top 5 G5 program. We need some work. However I do think EKU will have a winning season, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they beat bowling green next week. Yeah it's bowling green but EKU will have a decent year. Not making excuses but at this moment I DON'T see a conference championship with this team. 8-4 at best until THEY prove me wrong. COACHES need to step up and teach these kids how to play special teams.

Actually, statistics were dominated by Marshall.

Passing Yards: Marshall 278 - EKU: 48
Total Yards: Marshall 376 - EKU: 187 (we doubled them up in both yards and score)
Touchdowns: Marshall 4 - EKU 2 (doubled)
Yards per play: Marshall 5.6 - EKU 2.92 (practically doubled)
Interceptions: Marshall 4 - EKU 1
Turnovers: Marshall 4 - WKU 5 (as poorly as special teams played with the turnover, EKU actually lost the turnover battle).

To be blunt, Marshall DID dominate statistically except for one category... and it's been so rare it might be the first time in 5 SEASONS we have had this...

... I believe this may be the first time since 2013 we have lost the time of possession war. Of course, EKU had 4 more offensive series than we did (thanks special teams), but the fact they had 4 more series AND the TOP was that close is remarkable.
