Maybe this should go in the "positives" thread, but I think Carey quits trying to get Childers to succeed and will instead focus on the offense succeeding. All those stupid 2nd and 2 or 3 yard pass plays were for Childers benefit. Thats the best passing situation a QB can be in. Instead of trying to set up Childers with a 2nd and short he will set up Jones and Harbs(unfortunately not Nettles). Childers throws way less, the team runs more, they look better but come up short vs a good UTAH squad.

Rabid Squirrel, I was thinking the same thing during the Iowa game. The game plan was heavy pass to aid Childers' development. Unfortunately, it never worked and we should have recognized that our run game was needed to have a shot at winning the game. Your analysis of this week is probably spot on.
