This is an incredibly stupid commentary. What are the chances that the ball was not subjected to intense security screening? What are the chances that any kind of chip could escape detection? Suppose there is a chip and it did escape detection, both of which are highly unlikely. Now you get it back to DC. Exactly how far can the chip transmit any signal? Keep in mind that it is going to have very low power, so a very weak signal. What are the chances that it could transmit any signal to any place where any Russian apparatus could detect it?

This is really an absurd idea.
