Story here: https://t.co/dHTABSUwT1

There's still room for a FBS opponent on the 2021 schedule.

If JMU beats AAC Louisville, after defeating fellow AAC teams SMU and ECU, will any of the remaining AAC teams schedule the Dukes?

I think we're all waiting to see who blinks first.

Gotta tip the cap to UofL. Their 2022 non-conference schedule is: at Central Florida, home vs South Florida, home vs Dukes and home vs Kentucky.

What does that say about Louisville that longhorn didn’t even realize they were a P5 school?

Really depends on whether by 2022 we are in the ACC or SEC or perhaps Big 10+4+2+2-2+2. Of course, we may still be holding out for the NFL.

Well, considering UofL is entering into their 5th year in the ACC next month, I'd say it says Longhorn is at least 4 years behind.

That I agree with, but I'm easily confused. The wife says lunch at noon and I show up for some tailgate action at JMU.

Getting $600k for a game in Lousiville is a good deal. Driveable for most of the fanbase, or could fly into Louisville. If you like bourbon, could hit the KY Bourbon Trail, some of it in/around Louisville, some on the way if you were driving.

If you like horses/horse racing you could tour Churchill Downs/visit the Kentucky Derby Museum in Louisville, and/or tour some of the horse farms in Lexington, about 80 miles east of Louisville, which you could pass through if driving to Louisville (or you would pass through Cincinnatti, about 1.5 hrs northeast, depending on the route taken). Mammoth Cave Nat Park is about 1.5 hours south..

RE: JMU to play at Louisville in 2022 - netting largest FBS payout in its history
I think this is going to be a trip reserved for diehards and will probably have very low JMU fan attendance vs previous FBS games.
10 hours from Hampton Roads, 9 from DC, 8 from Richmond. This likely makes it a 3 day trip if people want to go.
The November date could bring dicey weather too.
Louisville isn’t much of a city to visit and as far as I know few alumni are from the area.

But I will be there for sure.
This is another opportunity for JMU to elevate its program with an eye opening win. The Dukes can stick it to the fighting slimy Pitino’s.

If you are into baseball at all the Louisville Slugger factory/museum is a must see. https://www.sluggermuseum.com/

Take an extra day if going, this will be a fun road trip.

It is an 8 hour-ish drive from Central VA.......but about a 3 hour flight also.

We had a very good turnout in Dallas for SMU. I would expect a similar turnout for Louisville, perhaps better. I would guess 500 made it to the SMU game. Maybe a thousand for Louisville.

I have it on my calendar.

I travel out to Ft. Knox, KY for work every now and then.

ZZZZZZzzzzzzz. Such a boring drive. Directions from Richmond to Louisville...

Step 1: Get on I-64 W
Step 2: Get off I-64 W at Louisville exit.

Yes! James Madison has officially become the event planner for a 3 day weekend to/in/from Louisville.

Take notes from JMU71 as he guides us through the do’s and don’ts For the N.C. State game at Raleigh.
