the question simply becomes, when does it become untraceable?

There are junior high schools with better IT security than the DNC from everything I've read.

Do you? You are someone that after 12 years and over 22k in post on these forums cant figure out how to quote someone's post. Not even when others gave you step by step how to. Even showed you pictures on how to do it....

its not hard all you have to do is click the reply button

yet you cant understand that function. So now you are going to tell us all how the cloud works vs a server? OK04-jawdrop

But even if you can do that go ahead and state any laws that will allow the defense the ability to get their own expert to go over this cloud? A server, yes, but not the cloud. Take the cloud in front of a jury LOL

Stop with your unsupportable bullshyte. 95% of the threads started here have a link to an article. Whether it's credible or not depends on one's views, nothing more.

You Mach, for the longest time, were usually in the 5% that didn't post a link, perhaps because you were using a cell phone instead of a laptop.....dunno. Didn't bother me when you failed to post a link, especially if you couldn't.

What does bother me is you spouting bs about everyone else when it was you who was usually guilty.

Here I used the quote button!!1. Lookie lookie wkuy

Btw..... tech you are full of it.

I make a point to cite texts.

Read the article RWT posted and I have posted again. This is why you guys are full of crap and so is your argument.

Holy Moly..... I just gave you the link. Provide one yourself.

From https://www.cnn.com/2017/01/10/politics/...index.html

Comey later added that "there was evidence of hacking directed at state-level organizations, state-level campaigns, and the RNC, but old domains of the RNC, meaning old emails they weren't using. None of that was released."
Comey said there was no sign "that the Trump campaign or the current RNC was successfully hacked."

Holy moly, that appears to be the link you provided. Perhaps you should read it before posting.

Maybe the reason they haven't released the dirt they found on republicans is that they didn't find any.

Washington (CNN)Top intelligence officials indicated on Tuesday that the GOP was also a Russian hacking target but that none of the information obtained was leaked.

FBI director James Comey told a Senate panel that there was "penetration on the Republican side of the aisle and old Republican National Committee domains" no longer in use. Republicans have previously denied their organizations were hacked.

RE: About That DNC Server...
With each of these new revelations, it's going to be harder and harder to get anything into evidence on this. Is it 1 server or 140 servers or a cloud or something else? Somebody needs to define what was the system architecture and exactly what it is that was produced to the FBI, by whom, and under what controls. The more we get conflicting statements about what it was, the harder it is going to be to prove anything up as evidence. It's going to be hard enough to get it in now, with no proper chain of custody. This is not making it easier.

1. Daily Beast is more reliable than CNN. I won't give CNN clicks.
2. They did try to hack the RNC. But trying and succeeding are two different things. Maybe nothing came out because the Republicans aren't absolute morons like the Democrats? When it comes to cyber-security, the Democrats are not smarter than a 5th grader.

Guess someone didn’t read it all right. That’s a typo under the picture wise one.

CNN repeatedly lies with their headlines. And they aren't the only one. You actually have to read the whole article to understand a story. The headline is to get you to click.

No, the opposite. You don't publicaly embarrass the person you are talking to.
Maybe you make a statement. Maybe you don't. Trump didn't. Putin has a tough guy image he maintains for the Russian population. There really isn't anything to be gained by trying to make him look bad in public.

Kind of like every other president in the history of the country. Warner's letter was the most imbecilic, moronic thing I have seen since DNC cybersecurity. And it comes close to being as stupid as that.

Of course, there are no plans to prove anything in court. If one of the indicted russians shows up in the US to contest the charges, Bueller will be this prepared.

Okay, Mach, what is Mueller going to prove if he can't get the information from the servers into evidence?

Mueller is months ahead of you.

Tell that to the Russian companies that he charged previously. You *have* read about what clusterfook Mueller has with that, havent you?

Step 1 to get correct: make sure the defendants actually exist at the time they are supposed to have 'conspired' --- whoops, didnt do that. Fkin states wont release that highly classified information about dates of corporate formation?

The other steps that have happened to the ones that actually answered the complaint ---- lolz.

Yeah. Mueller has shown he is *months* ahead..... /sarcasm off.

Here is another one for ya Mach: how precisely do you think the 12 named GRU officers will *ever* show in in US Federal court? Just try to answer that one before you claim Mueller is playing 5-dimensional chess or somefink.

Answer: they wont. Then the second question is: what value is this indictment? answer: it apparently gave the team something to do, kind of like what the 2nd grade teacher did for us when we were 'classroom bound' at lunch because of rain.

I guess if the indictment (in which the charged will never appear, mind you) gives you as big a woodie as it appears that you have, *that* is some tangible benefit to the world. Not the one that most normal people expect, though....

Aside from that odd 'good' result it is/was an utter wast of time, resources, and effort. But you apparently equate that step with Mueller playing 5-dimensional chess flawlessly. Got it.
