I don’t mind the SEC taking a year or two to watch others handle the situation. Fans already pregame heavily, last we need is this turning into an NFL game with lots drunk fighting in the stands

The things is it's already been a year or two - seven in fact. West Virginia was the first major school to ok it back in 2011 and schools like Louisville, Miami, Ohio St, Texas, etc all quickly followed.
There are at least 3 SEC schools (Auburn, LSU, and Texas A&M) that are open about wanting this and to implement their own rules. It's the league office and other member schools (Sadly SC is one) that have been holding progress back. The moratorium needs to be lifted or else we are just prolonging the inevitable.

I guess. Let individual schools make their own choices in this matter.
