yes - Tigers, Southmen, Showboats, Pharaohs, Alliance Memphis.....any team with MEMPHIS on the jersey,,,,it's my hometown and where my loyalties lie

I just grew up liking Tiger basketball more, and I know I'm not alone there. It's not a zero sum game for me.

How is Penny #2 without coaching a game? Are they taking AAu and high school into account?

RE: Best coaches in town
Southmen were indeed the Grizzlies

named after the Toronto Northmen's chosen mascot

ironically some 25 years later, we take another Canadian pro team that's called the Grizzlies too

Southmen, with claws, and the name Grizzlies at the bottom. Even as a kid I thought it was dumb. But I sure wanted to grow up to be a WR like Willie Spencer!
Good times.

Then it must have been his back out of the backfield catches. Seemed like he always juggled the ball before he put it away.
And I remember the crowd chanting “hoop” when leheup made a tackle.

you remembered right,,,,,

the crowd also did that at our NASL franchise (Rogues)

Houska....."hoooooooooska"

I appreciate your POV.

There is so much to the Memphis SPORTS scene. I can't wait to possibly help Jernigan, Kevin Kane, etc... as they are building that monument to the ultimate Memphis Sports Scene on the top floor of one AutoZone Park.

Any poll they conduct is unscientific. That was one of the points. This is summer filler, just like the "team" poll.

It was actually 3 people. The producer participated. So you're off by 50%.

On the flipside, they've had some great guests in recent weeks.

Yep, expect a lot of polls and manufactured Lawson crises in the next 60 days.

Don't listen much, but they do seem to hustle for guests more than the other shows.

That is one way their show has grown tremendously. They have good ideas for guests and are getting them. Standing invite to Keelon Lawson excepted - solid improvement.

I've helped them line-up a couple of the guests. They are open and receptive to ideas, and hustle to make it happen.

OK Sir - LMAO,,,,,

Really? 3 vs. 500? Really? So I'm off by 50%? I'm sure Tigah Nole would jump on you for that sample size of THREE.

The FO's continue to not only amaze, but show out in an emotional, bitter and defensive manner.

You're so off-base with that last comment. And everyone here knows it, so I don't have to even rebut.

As for the 3 vs 500...What is it some on here say? I'll take the "experts" opinion over a bunch of you yahoos any day, lol.

Please,,,,don't be such a bitter fellow when confronted with facts,,,,,facts that you may not agree with, and particularly don't feed your own agenda.

The most effective approach in dealing with someone infected with a passive aggressive personality disorder is to ignore the behavior and pretend you don't notice it. If it doesn't appear to affect you, there is not much in it for them, and they may stop the behavior because of your lack of a reaction.

Yes, having him on block and not having to read his post (unless others insist on quoting him) is a wonderful thing.

Willie Spencer was a running back, I believe.

Yes, also in the backfield with Kick and Csonka in '75. Really wish that league would've lasted more than two seasons.
