There's a practicality to free speech and we all know about it. There's a standard of politeness that we all pretty much share. If this happened to a liberal, Tom would've started the thread and the right would've insulted him to death. You guys would've sat there and enjoyed it because you would've seen it as something happening to a bad person.

As much as I disagree with what someone is saying, I will always respect their right to say it, and would certainly not celebrate their "comeuppance" if someone attacked them for it.

You have to love someone saying they don’t feel sorry for her, but it is was a wrong thing to do. A lib can’t be honest and say the conservative woman got what she deserved. That is what he is really saying. Anyway you cut it, he is condoning the act as justified. Hate is hate.

IMO, any liberal that comes here and advocates assault while saying she deserved it has crossed the line and ought to be banned. No one should be able to advocate or condone physical violence against someone like that. Just my 2 cents.

Nope. I’ve said repeatedly that it isn’t justified. She didn’t deserve that in my book. Hell, if I were there I would’ve helped her out. I personally dislike this version of the American left more than most of you.

But there can be a difference between thinking it’s wrong and realizing talking sh*t bites people in the ass often. It’s not even the fact that she’s a conservative, it’s that she made her name in getting people riled up.

I think it’s a pretty straight forward and non-controversial notion. The real problem you have with what I said is the thought that I’m not convinced that you guys would be any different if the situation was reversed.

The interesting thing about this is that I posted basically the same thing here and to reddit. The liberal reddit response is that I'm a bad guy for saying that it's wrong and here it's because I stated that I don't feel bad for her.

I mean, someone can try. I'd personally think it wasn't deserved, just like I don't think Tomi deserved it. Knowing this board, I wouldn't expect a lot of you to feel bad for me either. Some would though because they know I don't come on this board to provoke them to anger.

But if someone feels that I've been really disrespectful towards them, they can PM me. I'll talk to them and we'll work something out.
