Bloomberg is going to flip out if he goes to Whataburger and sees what the medium size Coke cup is...

I was sent a sample copy of Bloomberg Business Week as an offer to subscribe. I refuse to do so because I do not want to give him any money which he will use to try to control our life.

Strange choice. Be nice to see the video of his speech. I hope not political.

They do realize he's a "1%er" right? For congesting NYC with pedestrian plazas and bike lanes, I hope he gets stuck in a good ol' 59/610 traffic jam. Oh wait, he'll probably just land his helicopter in the stadium lot.

Good for him.
Sadly predictable for Michigan.

Safe Spaces? Is that where you take a dump if the toilet is full?

I like this tweet today from Bloomberg.

"My last two commencement speeches were at @VillanovaU and @UMich. Coincidence? Here's to a great game tonight – good luck to both! And next year, keep your eye on @RiceUniversity..."

Just saw the older comments in this thread. Would be good if the posters kept their political opinions (some of which I strongly disagree with) confined to The Quad.

Oh, please. Much of Bloomberg's speech was political.

Oh, please. Much of Bloomberg's speech was political.
Rex Tillerson's speech at VMI seems to track Bloomberg's. Seems to be less political than truth:

Quote:Former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson argued Wednesday that the U.S. is experiencing a "growing crisis of integrity and ethics" in his first public speech since leaving the Trump administration almost two months ago.
"When we as people, a free people, go wobbly on the truth even on what may seem the most trivial of matters, we go wobbly on America," Tillerson told the graduating class of cadets at the Virginia Military Institute.
While he did not mention President Trump by name, Tillerson did reference an "accepting of alternate realities" and warned that the country is in danger if Americans can't agree on basic facts.
"If our leaders seek to conceal the truth and we as people become accepting of alternative realities that are no longer grounded in facts, then as an American people we are on a pathway to relinquishing our freedom," Tillerson said.
Tillerson emphasized that what makes America different from Iran, China, Russia, and other adversaries is its commitment to fact-based truths. And he expects doomsday if the U.S. starts accepting alternate realities not based on a set of facts.
