RE: April 3-4 midweek baseball
'Runners held on for a 5-3 win. I'm always nervous going into the 9th at Texas State with a lead because they've had a tendency to steal wins from us in the bottom of the 9th at San Marcos. I can remember about 3 games in the last 4 or 5 years where that's happened.

RE: April 3-4 midweek baseball
USM rallies for 5 runs in bottom 8 to tie it at 8. Inning highlights was a Wallner grand slam (2nd straight game with one) and later on UL-LAFAYETTE throwing a relay from right field to 2nd base past everyone allowing the tying run to score. USM will have 1-2-3 up in 9th. Wallner would be due up 4th if necessary. 3 hole is Reynolds who also has a HR tonight.

To the bottom of 9 we go tied at 8.

Pete Taylor Park magic strikes again!!!

Bases loaded 2 out walk off single that would’ve been a bases clearing double had the situation been different.

Eagles win 9-8

Raiders gets the win over #14 Vandy.

They hit a grand slam in the 8th to go ahead 7-4, but the game was called off due to lightning; rendering their grand slam null.

In all fairness the game should have been called before the eighth started I left at end of seven and the sky was full of lightning all around. Vandy should have never had a chance to load the bases and get the grand slam. But the game reverted to the last complete inning and MT won. Surprised they didn't suspend the game and complete it when MT travels to vandy next month.

USM vs Lafayette highlights

https://youtu.be/R7NERamHhEM

The Luke Reynolds HR to left center got out so quickly that our runner on 1st didn’t realize it was out until just before he crossed the plate and heard the Right Field Roost horn going off.

The video cuts away on the tying run but the RF throws it into second base but overthrows it. The 3B didn’t realize it until it was already past him which allowed the runner going from first to third to score tying the game. The batter ended up at 3rd.

Can that actually be done? Suspend a game for that long and finish it well over a month later?

he's swinging at it so much better lately.....he was swinging at wayyyy too many first pitches and pulling his head out.......

he's definitely making up for it now.....

when he's in the groove, that stroke is as pure as it gets.....he's 'scary fun' to watch at the plate....

Rice/SH game looked crazy.. B8, Rice had scored the go-ahead run to lead 9-8 .. In T9, SH scored 6 to shut rice up and down for the 14-9 win.

I'm not sure. But the vandy radio crew guy discussing that possibility, while waiting out the game decision.

I can’t see The Raiders completing a home game in the road that is not a conference game.
