Quote:If I speak out for the rights of unborn children, the hysterical left says I hate women, have no right to speak because I'm a man and should have to stop my protest of the infanticide.
I can speak for the "hysterical left" if you like. (and as a woman)
I am not Pro-Life, I am pro-choice. I, personally would never have an abortion. Not my thing. I'm not particularly for them but I am also not in a position to judge someone who chooses to do so. I don't know their circumstances or why they choose to do so. That's what pro-choice is.
The women get chastised because they got pregnant but the man is never vilified for their part in unprotected sex. That's so European medieval that it's not funny. Maybe we need to get Viagra (and it's counterparts) off the market and force vasectomies, but I digress.
Let's look at some other factors here:
1. I feel abortions should not happen after 16 weeks. A lot of women don't even know they're pregnant until 9-12 weeks. I know I didn't, back in 1976. This is not a child. This is still an unviable fetus. I don't care what sonograms show, it's not life.
2. Viable life is at 24 weeks. That's when the brain, nervous system and spinal column connect. That's when they would be able to breathe on their own and feel pain.
3. Any argument that one can survive before that is tenable, at best. Before that, live-saving measures are exorbitant and, more often than not, unsuccessful or leaves the child with some form of handicap.
4. Not every abortion is because a (an eventual) child is unwanted; especially after that 16 weeks. (and abortions after that time-frame are 9/10 medically necessary)
Sure, a man can have an opinion but it doesn't make that opinion medically or factually accurate.
