Good video on Stadium -- http://player.watchstadium.com/webapp/ne..._section=1

But blatant-home New Mexico audio commentators (simulcast of the UNM radio broadcast, I think).

Owls take a solid 7-2 lead, but several ball-handling errors allow Lobos to tie it at 9.

(Every UNM basket gets a video replay ... none of the Owls' do.)

Neither PC running Firefox or IPad is stable at all for me....must have better bandwidth to the left of New Mexico compared to the right.

No inside game and no ability to drive and dish the way Maya could last year hurts. We also at this point are not just very quick all over the floor. The thinness of the bench has hurt us all year but against most of CUSA and in some games, like at A&M, it didn't prove a problem. I was hoping a good showing might get us a pre-season WNIT slot which would really help as we re-tool the lineup.

Don't think we've realized the game's started yet. Perplexing play on both ends. Silly TOs + I think half of UNM's looks have been uncontested.

Refs also aren't giving us any breaks. The baseline ref on Nicole's last drive signaled that the UNM defender went straight up, seemingly not knowing that the most recent rule change made it so that a defender inside the arc needs to jump regardless of whether they went straight up. But why would we expect refs to know the rules.

Rice started quickly, getting off to a 7-2 lead and looked sharp and efficient. The the silly TOs started. Sigh.

Holding steady after the horrific final 3 min in 1Q and the whole 2Q. Points off turnovers going to 4Q 4-20.

Nice game by Erica (31 points, 10 rebounds). Congrats to Wendy Knight on a great Rice career. But she and Nicole seemed worn down at the end of the year which was totally understandable. Hopefully we stay healthy next year and have the depth needed to get to the next level.

3300 folks at the Pit. They will host TCU next.

One thing we need for Rice women's basketball to get to the next level (or any Rice program) is better fan support.

Not surprising since we are one of the worst fast break teams I've ever witnessed. One of the few areas we really need to work on next season. No question the spate of season-ending injuriies and resulting 7 - 8 man rotation wore the team down over the final 4 - 6 weeks of the season. Nicole, in particular, was a totally different player the first half of the season vs. the second half.

Really looking forward to next year, when we should be serious contenders for a conference championship and NCAA birth.
