Craziest damn tournament I can remember. I wonder if there have been more upsets this year than the previous others? Or does it just feel that way?

After Clemson knocks of Kansas, it'll be an all ACC elite 8 game.

Let's all point and laugh at wahoowa.

Virginia: Officially the most embarrassing tournament team of all time.

Perhaps wahoowa & Virginia could still catch a spot in the CBI? Maybe they could pickup Tubby as an assistant during the season & let him & TB switch places when the tourney starts?

He'll be back when UVA wins the shuffleboard or Frisbee golf national championship.

Silly rabbit, they don't serve humble pie in Charlottesville... but they do seem to drink a lot of vinegar and water!

Y'all are being too touch on Wahoowa. He's probably in attendance at the NCAA mixed doubles Connect Four finals in his finest seersucker shorts and bowtie.

RE: Open Thread - 2018 March Madness
I have not thought it of any value to defend Virginia in this thread since every single fan here represents a school that lost to Virginia (20-1 this year). If I agree with the critics here then doesn't that make the rest of the ACC all even less respected, since Virginia beat every single one of them? (every single one, some twice and some thrice!)
So I will just post an article that argues that Bennett not change a thing. If he does not change then that likely means the 80% win percentage in the ACC (both regular season and ACC tourney) over the past 5 years will continue. Boeheim has said that is how to judge a coach and a team, not by the NCAA tournament, but some day a final four will come also.

P.S. I'm now pulling for FLaST and Clemson get to the Final Four and for Louisville to win the NIT.

I agree that Bennet shouldn't change a thing. I completely disagree with what Pat Forde was saying on Yahoo.com that TB's system is made to fail in the NCAA tourney. If you can beat the best teams in the ACC, you can make a run in the NCAA tournament.

UVA just ran into a hot 3 point shooting team playing way above the level that they had been playing all year long. I don't think they were under-seeded. They just had a great game at the right time.

Virginia was without a doubt the best in the ACC this year. For some reason TB has had a problem getting his team ready to play in March. Losing their 6th man was definitely a factor but you have to show up ready to play every game. UMBC did & played well over their potential. I would suggest TB change the way he prepares for the tourney instead of changing his system, his system is obviously working.

UVAs system is built for long term and not so much for a 6 game tournament. UVA has too many offensive lapses where eventually they'd face a team they couldn't keep up with.

This argument doesn’t pass the smell test to me.

They won three straight games in a single-elimination format against really good teams during the ACC Tournament. To make the Final Four, you only need four wins.

If they can win the ACC Tournament playing that style, they can get over the hump to make a Final Four.

RE: Open Thread - 2018 March Madness
So far, the ACC has earned 19 tournament units this year, more than any other conference. The SEC is second, with 16, and the Big 12 has earned 15. Only the Big 12 can win more units by the end of the week from here.

So, while some fans may feel like the league has underachieved because UVa and UNC took an early exit, it's still been a successful tournament for the ACC no matter how things play out.
