This has to cause some of you trepidation. This is an absolute abuse of our taxpayers dollars and it is going into his own pocket. 3 million a trip. It's outlandish and I hope some on the right begin to speak out about it. Here is an article and an excerpt.

Bottom line, these trips cost taxpayers money The U.S. shells out for these excursions, to the tune of about $3 million each time he heads to Mar-a-Lago alone,

Same old argument no matter who is in office. With W. Bush it was him spending a month on his Texas ranch and dems made a fuss. When Obama played golf for a weekend repubs made a fuss.


It seems like there are more important things to criticize this president for rather than his travel accommodations.

You wouldn't hear an ounce of complaint out of me if it wasn't lining his own pocket. THAT HAS TO BE ESPECALLY GALLING to the fiscal conservative guys. It has to be. That's 3 million a pop and IT"S GOING INTO HIS WALLET!!!!!!!!!!! I don't even understand how it's legal but when it's the Right it's ALL RIGHT!

Now I understand that this tarnishes my reputation. Pointing out hypocrisy. Not very many left leaning posters around here but this needs to be said and it needs to be heard. This should not be tolerated by any person holding public office.

Maybe this would get him impeached....

How is this “going into his pocket”?

Do you know who HAS to travel with the POTUS, no matter who it is and what kind of a detail that is?

We were at the US Open at Congressional years back and the Bubba Brigade made a rather unexpected/unannounced visit (things were looser back then I guess), and it was a mini-train of one black Suburban after another, probably 8 or so total and guys rather unstated but obvious all over on the ground.

That’s about a 25 mile trip. That alone for a couple hours probably cost half a mill.

The support staff stays on his properties. He leases golf carts to Secret Service. It's really bad. Would you like for me to search for articles that show the expenses and how Trump is profiting off of those visits. If you will read it I will go through the trouble. I was reading an article and it's exorbitant and outrageous. 1 out of every 4 days? Then with Melanie at Trump Tower in NYC a lot. It's taking advantage of the US taxpayer.

He didnt want to. But he IS REQUIRED BY LAW TO DO SO.

Required to do what? I see he is not allowed to pay for any SS needs for his protection out of his own pocket, but I'd like to see the law that says he has to lease them golf carts that he owns and likely profits from.

Cause if they weren’t charged for, that would be his paying out of his own pocket.
