I find it so hard to believe that they are not marketing Historical FF's last season as a way to sell Season Tickets.

I doubt we will have any issue selling out our season tickets this year. I know plenty of VT fans that are planning to buy ODU season tickets just so they have tickets to that one game and then just try and sell the rest.

School needs to turn out more millionaires that enjoy sports.
Texas schools have that sweet black gold money all over the state. I guess ODU can turn out entrepreneurs that can land huge Navy contracts.

We have student fee limits.

And nothing gets done at a public university if the President, Foundation Board and Regents /Trustees are not all on board. Just takes one to blow it all to crap.

Virginia is the only state that limits the student fee revenue to be just 55% of the total budget for G5 programs. Meaning, ODU is the only G5 school working under those restrictions.

So, why was GSU at 77.74% in 2016? ODU has until 2021 to get to 55% and is on track. But that limit clearly restricts their ability to add too much long-term debt to the athletic department.

Edit; I did a quick search and couldn't find anything about student athletic fee limit laws in Georgia. Could you send a link? I'd like to see how it compares to Virginia.

If they haven’t ordered the steel yet, does anyone think the admin uses the tariff price hikes as an excuse to abandon the project? Seems with the lack of progress, they are either working to find a way to make something good in spite of the challenges, or looking for a way out. This steel issue could be the latter.

They may have issued a contract for steel based on the projected tonnage. That’s about as far as they can go without completed structural drawings.

RE: NEW stadium construction
What about automatically enrolling every student into ODAF and setting up a per semester donation. It would increase ODAF membership and allow the students to start gaining status with ODAF earlier. If anyone adamantly opposes, they can file an application to not be charged. Obviously, there are legal hoops to jump through which may make this plan unfeasible, but it's maybe worth looking into.

You're going to cover the debt service on the stadium with your athletic budget. And when the majority of your budget is subsidized by student fees, a lot of your stadium will be paid for with student fees.

If I remember, some if not all of your your "many ways" suggestions violated State disclosure law, of which only Tennessee has similar proscriptions.
