Meanwhile we can always celebrate those close wins against SMU and Tulane.

Just reminded he's a Nashville kid, so ...

That's a huge miss for Vandy!

Is Wiseman a program changer...In the one year he will be here?

If he is and it's only one year that's fine. Cause finally other top recruits will see memphis as a destination again.

If he reclassifies, he will have to spend 2 years in college due to his age.
I think he is eligible for the draft so long as he is 18 and 1 year removed from High School.

You are correct...

And ball dominant players are the ones that can quickly change a program...I don't believe Wiseman is one of those.

Even is Wiseman was on this team we likely still wouldn't be an NCAA caliber team...We would be closer.

I would assume that Wiseman would be a better rim protector and post player than anyone we have now. But our glaring weaknesses of perimeter shooting and on ball defense would still be there.

Anytime Wiseman would catch the ball the guys guarding Rivers\Thorton and Brewton\Johnson could come and sit in his lap not allowing any room to operate in the post.

Bring in an all around scorer/defender and that would elevate this team more than any big would.

You must be 19 at the end of the calendar year of the draft AND be one year removed from your graduating year of HS.

Also, after reading the article Wiseman would consider Memphis if Penny were the coach.

Yep, he will be 17 in March. Earliest NBA draft Wiseman can be eligible for is the 2020 draft, unless the NBA one-and-done rule is changed.

Getting players like that would be great, but IMO, the aim should be kids between 50-150. We should be in the game for any of those recruits.

So when will Orlando finally start to get players in that range? Highest rating HS kid he has so far is 162nd. Currently the average ranking of his HS recruits is approx 257.

Wiseman could very well UK lock for all I know.

But...if you think a kid came from Nashville to Memphis to play for Penny won't at least consider the college Penny would be the HC...you're crazy

Memphis not in the mix for Wiseman...Tigers have tried to seek him and DJ Jeffries on playing together in Memphis but looks like that’s going to happen in Lexington

Wherever he goes he will attract the needed supporting cast. That part isn't the problem.

Whatever number of minutes they invested would have been better spent elsewhere. Wiseman was/is never coming here, no matter who the coach is.

When Tubby was hired and didn't know wh Charlie Moore was, that should tell you all you need to know.
