X is blowing their luck wad and they could go out earlier in March.

As for the Xavier call, I hate how an offensive player can be rewarded for initiating the contact. Goodin invaded that defenders space and he went straight up and blocked the shot, which he should, being 5 or 6 inches taller.
I don't know what the solution is right now. Basketball is probably the hardest game to officiate in my opinion. The new rules are geared towards refs being whistle haooy, so it looks like it will just get worse.
There was never a golden age of refereeing.

They legit. Kanter playing look like lottery pick at times. I think this year big man play go dominate March.
Lottery pick? He's the slowest, least mobile, unathletic big man in the big east. He has tremendous footwork and back to the basket ability, but NBA? Come on!
Also, the big east is so overrated. Did you ever think that providence and seton hall would be flag bearing members of the big east? They were cellar dwellers during the real big east days. Now they're top 5 respectively. Providence lost to DePaul. They should be out of the tournament. Xaviers luck will run out. There offense is too good to lose in the first round, but definitely second.
If UC wins out, they will be a 1 seed. They could very easily be the overall #1 if tesms keep losing.

Enough x talk, from espn this am some positive stuff(re: Uconn's issues):
"The argument that the league hurts doesn't really fly because look at Cincinnati and SMU," a former UConn assistant said. Cincinnati and SMU may not be getting an abundance of ESPN 100 recruits, but the Bearcats have found success by evaluating and developing players while SMU has thrived off transfers. The Bearcats are 52-13 over the last three-plus seasons in league play while SMU is 50-15. Even Tulsa (41-25) and Temple (40-26) have had more success than UConn (35-30).

Truth! If anything officiating is at its peak now since essentially all games have video and a biased ref has trouble hiding these days.

I do think the league hurts UCONN more than anyone else. UCONN was built on regional rivalries with other regional teams like Syracuse and others. We have history with Memphis and some others in this league and we've switched leagues so much our brand has never been dependent on conference affiliation. UCONN'S brand was built on the BE.
That said college basketball is arguably more dependent on coaches than any other sport. Regardless of some of those issues if they hire a good coach they can get back into the mix at the top of this conference.
