I have noticed that the nine players that Ehsan plays for the most part are becoming more coherent with each other, team wise, on both ends of the court as Ehsan has them in the game in different combinations. They are playing with more confidence as a team and less apprehension, on both ends of the court. Has anyone else noticed that?

Shouldve been developed this bench by now, even with Smallwood. We need these guys if we want to win the tournament. Losing three out of your last five should open things up more.

I prefer to think that we have won 6 of the last 9 because Ehsan has balanced the minutes between experienced players and those who are still learning to play at this level and aren't complaining about a lack of playing time.

what happened the last 5 games? Don't know what's funnier you or listening the podcast where Wimp rips into the roundtable bout Bama basketball.

The only way I would advocate playing the bench as much as you seem to do would be if Ehsan put Conley, Lee, Norton and Bryant on the bench.

Its easy to go 9 deep when you are playing a lousy team.

In close games, I fail to see any situation, other than severe foul trouble where Gueye helps more than the guy he is benching.

Developing a deep bench sounds great in theory. But we need to win games to get the 4 seed.
Sullivan is great. And he is getting plenty of minutes and will get a ton next year.

Gueye might be ready for 15 minutes a game next year if he puts on 20 pounds and learns to rebound & block shots.

Im sorry but he is a project. We need him to fill out & get better and he will over time. We can't risk games because you want him to get extra minutes even though he is not ready for them yet.

Lavender played great last night. But, its likely he wont return next year. So he should not be awarded playing time over returning players who have more complete games. (Unless someone is in foul trouble or the game is over)

I didn't say that, lol but it could be more beneficial since you have one for eight games and the other for 40 games.

I guess the best way for Thomas to improve is watching UAB basketball lol

What the heck we gain by finishing 4th? NIT bid? A higher seed? Yay for 4th.

Have you seen him play ?
Prediction. He will never be good enough to see playing time in close games at UAB. (This is from watching him for 3 years)

Smallwood hasn't killed anyone or gone out drunk driving in the town while smoking funny cigarettes.

Not every player is going to play all the time & some get very little time.

They can still contribute to the team, work on being great student athletes, etc.

No ****

Did we have a bye the last time we won the tournament? Also what happened the last time we was favored in the tournament?

All that said we might need an extra game with this squad to get going in Texas.

Poll all basketball coaches and 99% would agree that your chances of winning 3 games in 3 days is far better than 4 in 4 days.

The stuff you post is just amazing. Do you have a learning disability or are you just trolling?

Or you know, proving in practice you deserve more playing time. If you have evidence that Smallwood or anyone else is treating it up in practice and not be awarded with playing time, I would to hear it and would consider changing my mind about Ehsan.

He might be treating it up in practice. We see how much the two seniors mean. Also we all see the coaches favorite player(s). Who's to say he hasn't practiced well, or if the coach made a few promises to guys. I mean if Baxter could get close to 30 mins a game, Thomas could get 10-12 minutes. I doubt anybody tears it up in practice because of the regression.

So why did most talk about bench productivity a couple years back? I think the year Dirk lead the bench?

What the heck we gain by finishing 4th? NIT bid? A higher seed? Yay for 4th.

A first round bye in the conference tournament, meaning we'd only have to play/win 3 games in 3 days instead of 4 in 4.

Lol so when's the last time we have won three games in three days. We justl should tell teams 9-12 to stay home.

Look at some of the intelligent post you've made, which is none. Lol learning disability or trolling neither, you really brought it there. Lol

Also, I believe that all four of those players help this team in one way or another, DEFENSIVELY! All four are physically athletic, so to speak.

The only way I would advocate playing the bench as much as you seem to do would be if Ehsan put Conley, Lee, Norton and Bryant on the bench.

Spot on. Seven deep is sufficient.
