Looks delicious! I can't wait until I'm finished with this low carb diet and can drink something other than Miller Lite and straight liquor. 28 lbs down, 73 to go. 04-cheers

Hey, I'm on that same journey! Good luck!

Been low carb for over four years now. Lost 40 lbs. Haven't regretted a minute. You guys got this.

Just kill yourself now. Low-carb? Pffffttt.

Take it from a guy who's been training his entire life. You don't need to manipulate your macros or hit the gym to lose weight. You don't even need to eat that healthy. Just cut back on the stuff you're cramming into your pie hole. It's all about calories in vs. calories out. And the calories out should be in the way of very moderate exercise. Got nuts in the gym and you'll only stimulate your appetite and overeat. You've gotta run hours on the treadmill to erase that Big Mac you ate for lunch. Eat salads, chicken, fish, etc. and account for every single calorie you eat on something like My Fitness Pal. Keep yourself in a mild caloric deficit each day with an occasional cheat meal (not cheat day) and say hello to your new body 6 months from now.

Once you hit your target weight, then you get serious in the gym and start building muscle which will help you reset your body's weight "set point". You've gotta keep the weight off for at least 3 years for the "new you" to stick.

You're welcome.

Signed,

CB

Even as a WSU tier 2 troll, he isn't wrong with this advice.

Calories In versus Calories Out determines weight loss. Use an online calculator to determine your daily natural burn, and set your weight loss goals. Moderate exercise will help accelerate the loss, but it is key to keep a deficit. Also, keep in mind that about 3,500 calories = 1lb of weight loss.

I have lost over 100lbs dieting like this, and it definitely works. Carb free diets are basically just convincing you to eat filling foods that aren't as high in calories. However, if you focus on the calories, the results are much more consistent. Just my 2 cents on it, as I am currently dieting again and down 15lbs since the new year.

Very simple. You were inviting their fans to come here and troll the AAC fans. If you want to do that put it on the smack board or go to their board to talk.

If that was the determinant, then I get it. It was fully aimed at Shocker fans, and in good fun. I wish we'd have similar measures aimed at a few posters who completely derail thread after thread, but unfortunately I'm not the arbiter of that.

I'm not militantly low carb -- I don't necessarily count carbs, but I have completely cut out bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, and anything that is breaded. I agree that calorie deficit is the largest determining factor, and I do somewhat track my calorie intake. I've lost 28 lbs. since around Thanksgiving, but my goal is to get back down to my college weight around 195 (I'm 6'2") so I have a long way to go. I was 301 on November 12, which is the first (and last) time I've ever hit 300.

I never thought of that angle. But isn't that what all the AAC football fans do with the G4 stuff? Attempt to draw G4 posters onto this board? Maybe the difference with the Valley is the fact that we're 0-3 against them and they could come in with a strong case.
