Im waiting for ODU officials to call the stadium off and announced we are moving back to FCS level, because we have no idea where we are going and are insane for doing the same things year after year expecting different results.

Any updates on this? Hard to believe that some snow could delay this two days now. Starting to lose my patience... not that I ever had any to begin with.

My guess is we'll hear something next Tues or Wed. No inside knowledge. I doubt they'll want to do it on a Friday or Monday.

Thats assuming its something of substance and something that will be well received. Bad news comes out late on Fridays. So if they announce a plan with 18,000 seats, no suites, no club level, no new sound system, few chair backs, bare bones stuff I would think Friday afternoon would be perfect.

If its good news, then waiting a few more days is fine by me. I just want the thing to be a great, top quality G5 level stadium that will show a commitment to winning and be impressive to recruits as well as make the game experience much better for fans. I've accepted that it may only be 20-22,000 seats. As long as the thing is expandable, I think quality construction and design, audio and video upgrades, and the ability to make money off of amenities like suites, some chair backs and a better club level are most important.

Snow and some other issues delayed it last week, when I thought it was coming. In theory, it now happens the end of this week. That said, I have no real inside stuff so I could well be off again but I'm hoping it happens by Friday.

Yes a sense (albeit "informed" would be questionable) and no I do not expect to be "pleasantly" surprised. Hopefully, on the latter issue I will be wrong but not optimistic about that at all.

PR 101. Drop good news early in the week so people talk about it throughout the upcoming days. Drop bad news at the end of the day on Friday, so many businesses are closed the next day, folks have other things on their mind and people forget about it by Monday.
