That's been the case for most games this season.

Don't be a homer. This was clearly and unabashedly one sided and incompetent officiating.

Do you really think your team committed less than a third of the fouls we did and derseved ten times as many free throws?

Oh you can nit pick about this call or that one. And you're going to get more calls at home, that's true for us, that's true for you. BUT I'll tell you... I can clearly remember several plays tonight where the WKU player was bumped or hacked and it WASN'T called. Again we have a dedicated strategy of getting inside and drawing fouls and we're good at it. Give us some credit.

I'll give you credit at how well you throw elbows.

Like I said above, you guys are definitely good at it and deserve credit for it. What pisses me off is the lack of fouls on WKU. 3 fouls in a 40 minute college basketball game. Give me a break.

UAB averages less fouls per game than WKU. We got pretty hosed this game, but it is what it is.

Jesus Christ. Are you such a homer that you think 5 fouls in 33 minutes of play is "the home team always gets more calls". It was blatantly biased. Anyone not a Hilltoppers who watched that game can see it.

I will say this. If anything, this game has fully rekindled the love between WKU and UAB that existed in the 80's.

Doesn't have anything to do with this though.

Except I'm not pissed at WKU. They just benefitted from the bias. And the refs didn't throw any candy bars

RE: WKU vs UAB: Who wins this one
I thought it was a great college basketball game. I think UAB has a very good looking complete hoops team. 2 really good bigs and some really damn good guards.

I was sitting one row up in the end zone floor seats. The refs were calling nothing in the first half letting both teams hammer each other down low. Norton monkeyhumped a couple of our guards out front in the first half and never was called for it.

Overall I thought it was a well called game.

CUSA is the by far the best it’s been since we’ve been in this league. UAB is legit if they play like they played tonight from here on out. ODU is legit. Middle is legit no matter what happened at Marshall tonight. We’ve got a solid team. That’s 4 very, good teams that have to do battle. And Marshall is no joke. Especially at their place.

Good game by the Blazers. Norton makes a huge difference. I love #1 freshman guard. He’s a splendid college player. I had to look him up. He had quite a few nice offers and it’s a testament to UAB that they got him.

Good luck until we meet again.

UAB was riding our guards all night, if the refs are allowing that then do it, THEY WAS NOT!! Gotta adjust to the game. Be mad at the coach for not changing up the style defense UAB was playing against us. If you go back and rewatch the game, WKU guards was playing off the UAB guards. I agree that the fouls was odd, but i saw a lot that wasn’t called against UAB that could have made it worse. WKU has a quicker team than UAB was used to playing and sometimes fouls will happen trying to stay in front. I’m not saying all was called evenly, but people need to at least give WKU a little credit for having a decent team.

No one is saying wku doesn't have a good team idiot. We are saying that this game was called blatantly one-sided. Did you watch the game and/or even happen to look at the team stats you dotard? You're being such a homer and fishing for compliments aboht your team that you can't state the obvious. UAB getting completely hosed and wku having a good team aren't mutually exclusive.

Thanks for the classy post. Agree to disagree on the officiating, but WKU is a good team. The top 5 teams as a group are as good as CUSA has had in several years. The rest of conference play and the conference tournament are gonna be a wild ride.

Norton being out last year tanked our season. He makes the team run and can really shoot the 3. Really excited about Bryant's future.

Damn what cry babies....UAB loss get over it because all the crying in the world is not changing that

Six of the fts came in the last 38 seconds when UAB was trying to get back in the game. Another 5 came off OHMER getting fouled on a 3 point shot and UAB's bench running their mouth. Like they did for most of this game.

So that's 11 fts out of 29 so that makes it 18-3. If this Western team had played any defense for most of the second half...which they didn't. It might have been closer.

Sometimes you get the calls and sometimes you don't but in the end it was UAB's shooting that did them in.

33 minutes of game time. 5 WKU fouls. Only two in the first half. Never mind the free throw discrepancy, that is obvious screwjob.

I know Western fans are going to take up for their referee buddies, but don't be as blind as they were.
